The Cities and Suburbs Will Report First When Polls Close
One interesting thing I heard about PA is that when the polls close, it's usually the cities and counties that report in first. That's the inverse of what I've experienced in other primaries when rural areas reported first and then the major cities came in last. That means we could see an Obama lead that would be overcome by all the rural counties coming in after the cities have been totaled in. So we may see a lead that wouldn't last, so please keep that in mind, and keep your expectations in check. Also, keep on kicking this thread throughout the day as a reminder to other DUers here.

3. spoil sport :-p
That is odd though, I wonder how they can get the cities tabulated before the rural counties. Then again, maybe they already know how it will turn out. Oh well, I have given up hope that Obama will win PA, then again all he needs to do is keep it close in PA and he will still be the frontrunner.

5. doesn't it take much longer to count the cities and suburbs
unless it's because they have a different method of voting.

The entire state has electronic voting machines. So previous elections on reporting times may be off.

http://www.dos.state.pa.us/voting/cwp/view.asp?a=1218&Q=446365

There are no old machines in the state for 2008.

Each county got to pick its machines so that's why we don't vote uniformly from one vendor.
