What excuses will we read in GDP when Clinton loses NC?
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 10:49 AM by yourguide
My predictions:

1. Obama had more money than HRC

2. Obama supporters initmidated voters.

3. North Carolina doesn't count.

4. Black voters don't count.

What do you predict the excuses will be when it becomes clear that Clinton's lost NC and the primary season?

3. I haven't really heard them claim that they'll win there -- at least not cinvincingly.
So, I don't think they'll even need an excuse. May 6 will be all about Indiana.

4. In other words, #3. NC doesn't count. IN counts a lot. I get it.

8. IN counts until it doesn't count
If Obama wins Indiana, it suddenly won't count any more.

20. Well, yeah, in the same sense that Pennsylvania doesn't count for Obama.
I think Clinton's team looks at NC the same way Obama's team looks at Penn. -- they don't expect to win, but they'd like to keep it close. Indiana, on the other hand is anybody's game. I'm not saying this as a supporter of one candidate or another, just saying how the expectations will play out.

35. I would think that Indiana would favor Clinton, looking at demographics.

40. But Indiana's combo of demography and geography makes it more interesting than OH or PA...
what with bordering Obama's home state. Indeed, the last two polls take there have Obama up by five points. And while that's certainly a close race, Obama being up by five is certainly more than he managed to achieve in polling in PA or OH. Point being, I'm not saying this race is an Obama win, I'm just saying that it has better potential for Obama than the others.

5. You forgot one
The excuse "Too many black people in NC" should be on the list. Or does that just fall under "North Carolina doesn't count", with the reason being "Too many black people"?

25. I wouldn't count all those unhatched chickens quite yet, Tom.
Obama could easily win Indiana -- the most recent polls there have him up by five (Apr. 14 LA Times poll and Apr. 16 Indiana University poll). I think Kentucky and W. Virginia are definitely Clinton pickups, but Indiana's going to be far closer and could definitely go either way.

And I didn't notice that the OP was aping a Clinton supporter thread, lol. Probably I wouldn't have commented had I noticed that, all of these type threads are stupid.

She will win Kentucky and West Virginia though. What all of this shows is that people have different opinions and not all states are exactly alike. Beyond that, sheer silliness.

Obama gives Hillary the "fuck you," crowd of his supporters goes wild cheering.

Here's the difference in Hillary Supporters and Obama supporters....

Funny story: Obama supporter detained after verbally harassing students.

If you support Obama, you are part of the problem.

Obama's Kitchen Sink. He originated the Tonya Harding/Hillary Clinton comparison.

New movement: IF IT'S BROWN, FLUSH IT DOWN!

24. Obama camp never expected to win Penn, either. Today changes NOTHING. In fact it marks
the point in time when many supers who promised to wait until after Penn primary to go public with their support of Obama, will begine to do just that - and that's about al today marks in REALITY.
