NYT: Heavy Voter Turnout in PA
Heavy Turnout in Pa.

By Julie Bosman
Pennsylvania Update

Pennsylvania is on its way to the record turnout that election officials have been predicting for weeks, according to poll workers from across the state.

Election officials were reporting extremely heavy voter activity in many of the state’s 67 counties throughout the morning, starting with long lines reported even before the polls opened at 7 a.m.

“Let’s just say it’s very busy,” said Joseph Passarella, the director of voter services for Montgomery County, sounding a little harried. “Our phones have been ringing since 6:15 this morning and have been ringing nonstop. We’ve never had a primary election this busy.”

2. "record turnout" = sure, they'll turn out.
But will they be able to vote? Will the votes be counted? Who knows...

3. This should favor Obama.
I haven't read much about any shenanigans ad-wise, and I'd actually read some of the late breakers are going to Obama (as opposed to OH), so this bodes very well for him. Not enough for a win of course, but it will get the numbers where he wants them.

9. i thought the same thing here in california, but a lot of the late turnout was for hillary
in the end it was about even, maybe slightly tilted to Obama but not enough to favor him a victory unfortunately.... crossing my fingers that you're right though!

7. Good news for Obama!
Thanks for posting this.

Most of what I've read/heard says that Obama will do well if turnout in and around Philly is heavy.
