They recognize cheap, intellectually offensive, election day saber rattling when they see it.

"Are you capable of embarassment?"

If I ever make as much a fool of myself as Clinton has, I'll let you know.

Not quite. All 3 of them would launch nukes if Israel was attacked with nukes.
That being said, her alacrity in stating it was completely political.

But neither event will occur.

34. just like
bush was not going to attack iraq because iraq wasn't going to attack the US or its neighbors, or should we go with NKorea, even though there has been no attack, there was a great deal of sabre-rattlery, non-diplomacy- does this mean i should trust that bush will not attack iran, even though he's rattled?...AH! i'm comfusing myself...

it doesn't matter if she is actually "going" to attack iran. i know she won't because she is not going to be president, for one thing, and for another, iran, as you said, is not going to nuke israel, but third, that she used the same same-ole-washington-tough-talk as mccain and boosch (come to think of it, i don't recall ever hearing anyone say they were going to obliterate anybody even on that side, except for perhaps the likes of bill kristol...) is enough to put me off. where i barely trusted her before (as she outright said no to diplomacy, and voted for kyl-lieb, after the mistake that was iraq), i no longer trust her at all.

56. but Hillary will sabre rattle with issues of thermonuclear war
in a way that no candidate republican or democrat has.

Escalating the rhetoric is what George Bush does and it has had a disastarous effect.

Beyond all of the diplomatic, military, and ethical reasons it ads a 'fear charge' to the speculative cost of oil. Everytime Bush threatens war with Iran speculators drive up future costs of oil by $ 15 to 20 per gallon.

Since no one actually thinks Hillary will be the nominee it probably will not have any impact - it is still a completely stupid and republicanesque thing to say.

59. I found her remarks....
to be childish at best and irresponsible at worst.

Strong countries don't tip their hat at hypothetical situations. Thats why they have secret war rooms and mocked situations. If one wants to guess a plot to a war or an action taken given this or that then go see a Steven Segal or Rambo movie.

There could very easily be other players starring in her nocturnal fantasies that may or may not have an influence like: China, Russia, N. Korea, Pakistan just to name a few.

A two year old would know better than to say something so assinine. Mutual deterrence is one thing, discussing a plan or method with world implications to get votes on a domestic fkng. party nomination, two elections before a Presidency even doesn't make sense to me.

She'll get votes anyway she can I suppose. If that takes rattling the cages of the armchair, toothless, hairy backed, mentally challenged, beer guzzling war mongers (Leiberman voters) nothing is beyond her I suppose?

But this is just my opinion.
