On CNN's live TV coverage, Carville predictably downplayed the Mississippi primary results by saying Obama was expected to win, so it doesn't change things.

Carville's logic begs the question of why Clinton's expected victories in each of the states she has won – she led in the polls in each of the states she won since she stepped into the race – makes a case for her being a stronger candidate?

Ok, just on the subject of him...still watching the War Room , and it's HILARIOUS! Carville and Matalin are so corny! I would almost pay to see a Love Story with them in it. Carville: "We should be on this like stink on shit! Ok, I'm going to make like a hockey player and get the PUCK out of here!" . And Matalin making fun of a reporter's tie? "Nice tie...I can tell that your MOTHER picked it out for you. Nice FAMILY VALUES. Nice FAMILY VALUES!" And then Carville starts crying when George (who James calls "Georgie") tell him that he is now a "political legend." (worth noting that after that, Carville gives a speech with his hands on his hips and tells the War Room that "everyone there can be trusted").

Yeah, I'm sure he was consistent with last night's PA victory...

CARVILLE: Well, first off, congratulations to Senator Obama and a lot of fine folks in Mississippi and they participated in this. And my congratulations to them.

I think it's a good win for him. It was widely expected. So, therefore, to some extent in the political marketplace, it's like the stock market. If you anticipate something and you meet expectations, it doesn't change a lot.
