One small thing about Iran...
With Clinton going nuke-happy and Obama declaring "no option off the table", I think there's one salient point everyone's missing.

Didn't last year's NIE say Iran had STOPPED working on their nuke program 3 (now 4) years ago?

So what's with all the saber-rattling? :wtf:

3. It's just the damned politicos...
...being damned politicos.

Everyone knows that with all of the saber-rattling so far, the public tends to believe there must be something to it. So, any politician who outright says "but they aren't doing a nuclear weapons program" risks being shot down big time, by their opponents and then by public opinion, for voicing such an obviously untrue statement (where "untrue" == "not what we've been hearing in the news").

Either that, or they are all in on the REAL agenda, which is being kept from us rubes. What that might be, I have no idea other than the PNAC thing.

Either way it stinks.

4. "I'm more anti-foreign-devil than you are."
Iran makes a good foreign devil. American voters eat that shit up.

Sad to say, but pretty true.

asking what MAY happen in the future (making up hypotheticals about them RESUMING it) and worrying about it for whatever reason. Pretty common human trait from my experience, some applied to more destructive things (like this) than others.

6. Yes.
With high or rather high confidence.

Of course, the assessment that they hadn't resumed work on a military nuclear was also offered, with medium confidence.
