No choice made on the first ballot and all hell will break loose. Looking forward to an old fashion convention.

1. If this goes to the convention, the Republicans win in November. Count on it. The SDs won't let that
happen.

2. Unless the difference is 26 votes, what Edwards won, there will be a selection on the first ballot.

5. Edwards lost Delegates in Iowa.
He is down to 18, the difference would have to be within 18, and that won't happen.

11. I don't think it will either. They won't hold a delegate count until they know that Obama has won.

3. There will be only one vote.
The only way one would not reach 2025 is if SUperdelegates sat out. With two candidates, it will be decided in one vote.

Although, I think SuperD's will decide it by June.

7. Try 4 weeks.

That's when Obama will reach 1,627 Pledged Delegates (over half of the 3,253) and Supers who plan to endorse the PD Winner will move off the fence en masse into Obama's column.

May 20.

15. Perhaps.
One in ten have indicated that they'll go with the PD winner

http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20080421/NEWS02/956876476/-1/news02

So if that's the case, Obama ought to pick up at LEAST 25 more Supers on May 20. But I really think with all the big states gone and only 220 Delegates left to contest, there'll be even more endorsements on May 20. Perhaps some of the shy ones who have already decided Obama's their guy, either for reasons of electability or because he won their state or district, will come out and endorse him when they see that a large group of Supers is doing so already (and that will put less of a spotlight on them personally).

8. lol. it's delusional to think the SDs are going to let this go to the convention.
and you couldn't possibly have an old fashioned convention these days. The entire structure has changed.
