Lanny Davis sort of blames Dean for the NC debate stoppage...says he should resign.
That is if he had anything to do with it. But when pushed on Fox News, Lanny changed the subject to attacking Obama. That is, I swear, the first I heard someone blame Dean for stopping that debate.

But after the way the ABC debate turned so ugly....I would say kudos to whomever stopped that NC debate.

From TPM:

Hillary Supporter Lanny Davis: Howard Dean Should Resign If He Nixed North Carolina Debate

"Hillary backer Lanny Davis, the unofficial raging id of the Hillary campaign (or one of them, anyway), pushed the envelope pretty hard in a Fox News interview a little while ago, saying that Howard Dean should resign as DNC chair if he had anything to do with killing the North Carolina debate.

Davis said:

If Howard Dean had anything to do with this he should resign as national chairman. He has compromised himself completely.
Asked if he thought Dean did in fact have something to do with nixing the debate, Davis demurred, and pivoted off the question into a denunciation of Obama.

As I've noted here before, the tensions between Dean and Hillary's top fundraisers and surrogates has simmered behind the scenes for weeks now over Dean's inability to get the Florida and Michigan standoffs resolved. The other day, those tensions boiled over when Hillary's top donors teed off on Dean publicly for his suggestion that super-delegates should begin deciding who to support "starting now."

TPM says it is the first time a Clinton supporter has called for him to resign....but it is not.

Florida Hillary superdelegate publicly demands Dean resign...Corrine Brown.

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Democratic Congresswoman Corrine Brown places the blame for the delegate flap squarely on DNC Chairman Howard Dean.

"I think Howard Dean should fix the problem or resign," Brown exclaims during an interview at First Coast News studios.

Brown insists that Florida's delegates be seated at the convention according to the results of the January primary.

"And after what happened in 2000 in Florida, elections is a raw nerve for people in Florida. And you should not mess with us! And you should not mistreat us in Florida," she says.

Keep up the good work, Howard Dean. When you are pissing off Lanny Davis, you must be doing something right.

We may see him on these shows, spreading the poison , even after the convention, if obama wins in my view.
Oh and here's the title of one of his books according to wikipedia:
"His most recent book, which appeared in 2006, is entitled Scandal: How "Gotcha" Politics Is Destroying America."

21. Bill Clinton tried to sabotage Dean from ever becoming Chair.
James Carville and Harold Ford, Jr and nearly every operative the Clintons have called for Dean to resign.

The fact that a dirt bag, hit man like Lanny Davis, now is the one to make the call for the Clintons is a joke.

The Clintons are despicable.

23. A Lanny story
One night Ted Koppel had a town-hall meeting on the Discovery Channel. Things were moving along and the talk turned to what is happening with our Constitutional rights. The audience and other Democratic members of the panel were on top of the issue. Up pops Lanny Davis to give a long winded speech about how george bush and the republicans love...love...love the constitution and would never do anything to curb our rights.

I gotta say my mouth flopped down to my shoes. It was no surprise to learn that Lanny Davis is the Dem. representative to some trumped-up committee that advises that nut-case in the WHouse.

Yes, Lanny is poison. Gov. Dean should wear Lanny's hatred as a badge of honor.

Lanny is a true snake. Before he crawled out from under his rock to help Lieberman. Ya know, Lanny is part of the Clinton machine, and thus, when he showed up for Joe...all bets are off.

BTW, I've written about this to you before Madfloridian. As a Dem. state committee member (not FL) I'm pissed with how skewed the conversation about the primaries has become. If this is now about popular votes...well hell, nobody told my committee.

Our last meeting was too busy to bring this up, but I will. My state is now not being represented since popular will be the deciding factor.

36. Yep, exactly.
That is why I have been posting so much about this. They are trying to make the whole DNC rule process invalid. They are pushing for popular vote or electoral vote. Wasserman Schultz is the worst, and Nelson is next. Here is a write up and video of her actually saying that to John Harwood on a CNBC interview.

They are shameless about it. It is like rules don't matter, they are out to smear the DNC and Dean.

45. Lanny Davis has always been inartful
about his untempered zeal for protecting Republicans. Most of his DLC brethren take the "on the one hand, on the other" tack to at least make it look like they're merely weighing issues. Not Lanny.
When I asked some prominent Democrats how the party should conduct oversight if it wins in November, I was surpised by the number who took this view. Lanny Davis told me "I don't care about digging up whether Bush lied or not, or whether they manipulated evidence or not. That's just playing gotcha."
