As a Hillary supporter I agree she should drop out if she doesnt win PA by 7 or 8% |
|
She won't get the financing she needs and she won't get the backing of any more super delegates.
Having said that I predict at least a 9% victory.

2. I don't see much difference to the SuperD's between 8 and 10%. |
|
It will only delay them. Having said that, I agree that under 8%, she is no longer viable.

3. at one point the pundits were saying Clinton had to win PA by double digits to stay relevant |
|
now they are revising it and saying a 5-7 point win is enough.

10. That was before she was outspent 3 - 1 |
|
Winning a state like PA by 7% after being outspent like that sends a huge message.

9. As an Obama supporter, I disagree. |
|
First, winning a primary, even narrowly, ain't nothing. I don't think she can get the nom, but by any reasonable standard she's earned the right to contest other delegate contests
Second, wherever the campaigns go, they're registering gazillions of new voters and building ground teams for November. I don't think that should stop just yet.
Thirdly, for PR's sake, Clinton should bow out after an Obama win. It's like how it feels better that the War of 1812 ended on an up note (the Battle of New Orleans). Doesn't matter that the last victory occurred after the fighting was irrelevant, it still just made the victory feel more satisfying. A winning campaign for the nomination could certainly benefit from such a resounding finale.

That is a very good point. The repubs are falling alseep and the dems are energized by all this.

14. Nope, its all about electability |
|
And who has the best chance of winning in Nov, thats why we have super delegates, they will be the ones who ultimately decide this if Clinton stays in.

If they did Edwards would be the front runner right now, he was the most likeable.

15. How did you come up with 7-8%? Her lead was 20-30% but now she should stay in if it has dropped |
|
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 08:24 PM by cui bono
to a mere 7-8%???
Edit to add: She needs to win 80% of the remaining delegates to pull ahead according to Chuck Todd. She should drop out now.

She will be given the chance to bow out with some measure of grace.
