Something is FUCKING WRONG .. CNN VS. STATE Reporting .. One has it wrong
At 54% CNN was reporting H: 54 O: 46

But the state website at: http://www.electionreturns.state.pa.us/ is reporting it at: 52.7 (53) H 47.3 (47%) Obama

Which fucking site should I believe now?!!

2. Look at the number of votes for each candidate.
They are obviously not in sync in the updates.

12. It goes by to the total number of individual votes counted
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 09:34 PM by Jamastiene
That percentage will stay at 54% until the numbers go up or down enough to make it go up or down. They are just not in sync, that's all.

17. No, check the votes columns...
Also, CNN is rounding their percentages off. Look at the total number of votes for each candidate. You won't get any more accurate than that. One updates more often than the other as well.

Perhaps they have a malfunction with their software. That is awfully screwy. Maybe the OP has a point.

28. Same here...site down for maintenance. I noticed something odd prior
to it going down for maintenance. They showed multiple entries for Clinton, all with different totals and percentages. One entry showed the vote total and the % at 53.2, another showed the vote total and the % at 53.4, and another showed the vote total and the % at 53.5. What's up with that?

33. Actually, I did, once, see Huckabee listed three times for a bit
but have seen the multiples much more often with the Democratic numbers. I assume it was some kind of glitch but it certainly struck me as a bit strange.

30. I was seeing multiple Obama entries with weird numbers
At the same time, Clinton's percentage points went from +5 to +8. I've done a screen capture every time and saving them in case it means something. Very odd.

37. Here's the screen captures...
I cut out the relevant info so I wouldn't be posting giant images in here, but I still have the original screen captures saved separately.

This is the first one. Check out the precinct numbers on this one and the second one... they're the same but Clinton's percentage went up...

This second one I took right after I pasted the first one into my graphics program. I went right back to the site, refreshed, and it changed again, so I did this screen capture only a few seconds after the first one...

Same thing again with this third one in that I went right back to the site, refreshed, and it had changed again so I did this screen capture... only a few seconds between this one and the last one...

I really don't know what to make of this. But it is weird.

Obama 45.9

a 9.2% difference, CNN is very definitely rounding up for Clinton and rounding down for Obama
