HAHAHHAH...

try some perspective.....Halliburton is where it is today because of Bush-Clinton-Bush.

War on terror is where it is today because of Bush-Clinton-Bush and their involvements in BCCI.

Lehman Brothers?????? As if. But you know that - you just NEEDED to say SOMETHING to make you feel better about the FASCISTS you support.

31. Or Selling out elections to the highest bidder (from the NYT Jan '08):
After Mining Deal, Financier Donated to Clinton

By JO BECKER and DON VAN NATTA Jr.
Published: January 31, 2008
Late on Sept. 6, 2005, a private plane carrying the Canadian mining financier Frank Giustra touched down in Almaty, a ruggedly picturesque city in southeast Kazakhstan. Several hundred miles to the west a fortune awaited: highly coveted deposits of uranium that could fuel nuclear reactors around the world. And Mr. Giustra was in hot pursuit of an exclusive deal to tap them.

Unlike more established competitors, Mr. Giustra was a newcomer to uranium mining in Kazakhstan, a former Soviet republic. But what his fledgling company lacked in experience, it made up for in connections. Accompanying Mr. Giustra on his luxuriously appointed MD-87 jet that day was a former president of the United States, Bill Clinton.

-snip

snip

"Kazakhstan’s president, Nursultan A. Nazarbayev, whose 19-year stranglehold on the country has all but quashed political dissent."

"Mr. Nazarbayev walked away from the table with a propaganda coup, after Mr. Clinton expressed enthusiastic support for the Kazakh leader’s bid to head an international organization that monitors elections and supports democracy."

-snip

Just months after the Kazakh pact was finalized, Mr. Clinton’s charitable foundation received its own windfall: a $31.3 million donation from Mr. Giustra that had remained a secret until he acknowledged it last month. The gift, combined with Mr. Giustra’s more recent and public pledge to give the William J. Clinton Foundation an additional $100 million, secured Mr. Giustra a place in Mr. Clinton’s inner circle, an exclusive club of wealthy entrepreneurs in which friendship with the former president has its privileges.

In March, Abercrombie & Fitch sponsored the annual Black Solidarity Conference at Yale. A writer for the Swarthmore college newspaper was non too happy. A&P has been sued a few times for discriminatory practices.

26. Those three toolboxes
...filled the frame. No way it could have been coincidence. I don't think his staffers are so dumb as to put three disinterested blockheads in the Key Spot, nor can they be *that* desperate for the "A&F" vote. (Interestingly, those who are very brand-loyal are more likely to be Clinton supporters.) People who wear gratuitously branded clothing like that are pretty much defined by consumerism and political apathy.

So was it product placement? I can't really believe otherwise. It definitely made me feel like vomiting. If Obama were taking money from A&F for that (which wouldn't make sense 'cause he doesn't need it) I would pretty much have to give up ever bothering to vote again. If he's not a corporate whore, he needs to give us an explanation.

42. I wasn't actually suggesting Obama takes money from A&F. LOL
I can't believe how many people on this thread thought I was implying Obama was "on the take" from Abercrombie. It was a rhetorical question meant only to point out something strange. Shows how silly the season has actually gotten. People are on such high alert they can't even recognize when someone's being facetious.

39. Here ya go
]

Hillary Clinton won Pennsylvania tonight and gave a rousing victory speech. Barack Obama then launched into a rousing speech to his supporters in Indiana, but no one in the blogosphere could listen to it because they were so distracted by the three idiots wearing Abercrombie and Fitch t-shirts who are standing right behind him. The guy on the far left is wearing a t-shirt that says "Fitch" in like mile high letters. Plus, the three amigos aren't even listening to his speech! Are they Abercrombie models? Infiltrators from American Apparel trying to drum up a campaign finance scandal?? Fitchtgate is just getting started....
