Gun owners voted for Clinton 62% to Obama 38%
POLL QUESTION: "Gun Owner in Household? "

Yes (37%) -- 62% voted for Clinton, 38% voted for Obama

No (63%) – 49% voted for Clinton, 51% voted for Obama

Source: EXIT POLLS: Pennsylvania, page 2, last question

I believe the PA exit poll is the first one that asked a question about guns, i.e. the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms for self-defense.

6. OK but BO & HC now recognize that 80 million gun owners out of a 200 million electorate do care.
That's why BO & HC are finally trying to appear to support the Democratic Party Platform that promises to protect the Second Amendment right of citizens to own firearms.

10. Perhaps, but IMO BO must capture the gun-vote among independents. One way to do that is promise to
veto every bill that comes to him as president that infringes upon the natural, inherent, inalienable right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms for self-defense.

That's the only way to offset his statements supporting banning semiautomatic firearms and handguns.

13. And don't forget those voters who want to invade Iran...
Sure, they're another minority, but, as long as he's pandering to the right...

18. Is that "pandering to the right" or supporting the Dem Party platform which promises to protect the
Second Amendment right of Americans to own firearms?

12. Probably similar to urban/rural breakdown
Looking at the election map, it sounds about right. I'm not sure it has to do with specific gun issues.

15. Both Obama and Clinton have strong anti-Second Amendment tendencies
Obama, however, manage to get the endorsement of the American Hunters and Shooters Association, which has apparently turned out to be a non-factor in the Pennsylvania primary.
