Axelrod wants to put the hammer on Hillary |
|
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 10:41 PM by redstate_democrat
I don't blame him. Daschle wants to be nice.
I say go with Axelrod.
She is gonna ramp up the nasty. He has to fight back.

They've let her get away with way too much shit. They need to be honest and fair, but it is definitely time to go after her.

Did anyone see how Tim Russert said that today, they asked Obama about what he would consider a victory, and Obama said "I'm not going for some sort of moral victory. A win's a win." and David Axelrod was like "No! I disagree! It was supposed to be by 20 points!" Tim Russert said that the Obama knows that if he gets the nomination, he is going to have to earn the support of Hillary supporters, and is afraid of pissing them off.
and then KO said "So..Obama is like "After you, Senator Clinton. And Senator Clinton is like.."I can open the damn door myself!" lol

of defending himself. Those quick response ads were fantastic. The Clinton's have run their entire campaign through the media, planting stories, telling lies, creating division, and manufacturing outrage. Obama has campaigned in state after state, racking up votes, and delegates, and he is winning. Why fix what ain't broke?

6. There is nasty, and there is justified retribution. |
|
I do not want negative campaigning, but answering Hill's attacks is completely justified, and answering them with a resounding SMACK is great... example: the Weather Underground SMACK on the last debate (Bill's pardons).
I want to see Barack hit back and HARD when he is hit, but I do NOT want to see unprovoked smears... that is Clinton style.

11. Her negagive campaigning had Barack on defense the entire |
|
6 weeks leading up to the PA primary, he's got to turn the tables and put her on defense. He should have pushed the Bosnia story a little more but he didn't do it but she was quick to smack him across the head in the debate with Wright, Farrahkan and Hamas. You can't play nice. The Republican party is now gearing up to run negative racist adds against Barack in NC according to Tim Russert. Barack can't be on defense the rest of this campaign, he's got put Hillary and Mac on defense and if it means throwing a little mud so be it.

|
There's no reason for Obama to go negative at this point. He has already effectively won the nomination. At this point he's just running out the clock.

Her "Poor Nell" melodrama got old a looong time ago.
I can't even IMAGINE Barbara Jordan or Arundhati Roy behaving like that under any circumstances. Not for a second.

30. He needs to roll out a couple SDs within the next couple of days |
|
I predict she will also roll out a couple unelected party leaders SDs.
He needs to come out with his fundraising numbers from tonight. He is raising a TON of money right now.
His surrogates need to obliterate her in the press.
MOVEON.ORG needs to get in on the action.
SEIU and other unions need to get out there with ads.
The problem is that he is running a campaign against not only Hillary, but McCain and the entire RNC and 527 groups. Hillary is getting a FREE PASS. No one is hitting her. All of the fire is directed at Obama. I wonder why? A lot of people are worried. They have thrown everything at him including the kitchen sink, the china, and the buffet, and Obama still managed to cut into Hillary's base and bring her lead down to 9%. So with ALL of that, that proves he is a STRONG candidate. Anyone else would have been drummed out of the race.

Absolutely nothing has changed after tonight but that Obama is one big state closer to the nom.
The math wasn't there for Hillary yesterday, and it's only further away after today.
