After tonight, I'm proud to call myself an Obama supporter

My boyfriend and I spent the past several hours switching back and forth between CNN and MSNBC watching the pundits go at each other trying hard to make sense out of the exit polls. After seeing both speeches it is clear to both of us that Obama is the person who we are most connected with and are proud to financially support.

I originally was supporting Hillary and was quite a vocal advocate for her early in the primary season. I grew up during Bill Clinton's administration and I remember how great times were during those years. However, over the past several months, Obama has slowly grown on me and I believe he will be the breath of fresh air we sorely need in the Executive office right now. We have been skeptical to donate to either candidate because we wanted to see which one best supports our beliefs. We are confident that we have now found that candidate.

So tomorrow the Obama campaign, and our next President, will be $4,600 richer. I wish him the best of luck in the coming months and will pray for his victory in the primary and in the general in November. As for all us Democrats, I remain hopeful that after this primary we can pull together and support our party's candidate.
