"It raises concerns about Obama's ability to close the sale. He may not have it."

"While he was taking shots at blue collar workers, calling them bitter, she was doing shots," joked veteran GOP strategist Todd Harris, in a reference to Clinton's photo-op sessions knocking back beers and Crowne Royale with working class voters. "What should be most alarming for Democrats is that (they are) the one of the most important swing constituency that they'll need to win in November - and he can't seem to get them," Harris said. "It raises concerns about Obama's ability to close the sale. He may not have it."

2. He's not selling used cars for gawd's sake
He's in first place, Hillary is in second and cannot catch up by the math. Obama is going to be the nominee at the convention.

3. And the choice is what? A destroyed party at a brokered convention?
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 12:47 AM by melody
A candidate (Clinton) hated by the majority of Democrats? You're in favor of that?

I think some Democrats had better realize that 1) Obama will be the nominee, 2) Obama is one hell of a lot better than McCain, and 3) Any Democrat is better than a modern-day Republican.

If Hillary is going to pout and sulk her way to the convention and if her supporters insist upon shoving her upon the majority of Democrats who now can't stand the sight of her, fine, then let's let Her Royal Majesty ascend the throne to which she is heir apparent (pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain) and let's get the damned thing over with.

We need a nominee. Now.

8. The GOP is marginalized *because* they have a lame candidate ...
So OUR answer to that is to have an equally disliked candidate? And this benefits us how?

We are energized NOW because of the candidate and his strength.

4. Strange the "presumptive nominee" loses PA by ten points
This makes Obama look very weak indeed.

5. and
the inevitable candidate lost Maryland by 29 points, that's 3 times weaker.

Every state is different. There's no fundamental shift towards Hillary, just like in 2 weeks when he wins in NC, there won't be another fundamental shift towards Obama. They are all different states, with different people, and they are going to vote different ways.

9. After being down by 26
Looks pretty strong to me.

Sad that the alternative has spent $200 million blowing a 30+ point lead before the voting even started. She looks better, why?
