11. She seems to believe in the ones that don't exist. Michigan and Florida, for example.
It's fascinating how many folks don't comprehend the meaning of the word 'delegate.' Appalling ignorance. :eyes:

13. Hillary needs about 13 more Pennsylvanias to close in on Obama
ain't gonna happen!! It's a shame many of her supporters can't see the writing on the wall.

6. When all is said and done it will be a bit more than that
But Hillary will likely decrease Obama's pledged delegate lead from 166 to about 153.

Congrats on the win Hillary. You've moved 12 delegates closer to still losing the primary.

12. That is because some votes are worth up to more than 3x more than others under the delegate scheme
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 01:39 AM by jackson_dem
Thanks for offering more evidence as to how corrupt this delegate scheme is. We need to return to the principle of one person, one vote. Obama benefited because he did best in areas given, oops, I must say allocated so one nut doesn't blow a gasket, the most delegates while Clinton's areas were allocated less. The disparity was as great as 3x.

Everyone knew the rules of the game going in. Just like everyone knew the rules regarding Michigan and Florida, even Hillary. Obama campaigned according to the rules and Hillary just FAILED.

23. Yep. Her complete inability to win what should be Democrat strongholds -- blacks and cities
-- caused this.

We didn't hear people whining about the delegate structure back when Bill was running.

20. Fascinating. Condemning the party's 3-decade primary process.
The same process designed to assure that DEMOCRATIC-voting districts are emphasized so the candidate's delegate totals portray an ability to WIN in November.

Funny how you folks whine about 'electability' and the 'Democratic base' and then smear the very process designed to assure an electable candidate.

Fucking stupid.

21. Yeah that scheme sure is working wonders this year!
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 01:48 AM by jackson_dem
:sarcasm:

The scheme is legal but it should be reformed for 2012. The idea that some votes count more than others is nonsense.

It could be less than 10. 10 is most likely.

25. Yes and they are in amusing denial on the "netroots" about this
The results speak for themselves. Basically Obama managed to do just poorly enough to validate the arguments the Clinton camp has been making.

28. How have those arguments been working out for you?
The Hillary camp was making the same, tired arguments to superdelegates both before and after Ohio. I somehow missed the mad rush of superdelegates to HRC.

Considering that the margin in Pennsylvania is similar to Ohio, you're going to be disappointed if you think Hillary's magical arguments will suddenly take hold.

26. It will probably be only a 12 or 14 delegate gain.
She's currently leading by 13 with 7 delegates still undecided.

http://election.cbsnews.com/campaign2008/d_delegateScorecard.shtml

Considering that the precincts yet to come in are in pro-Obama areas, it's likely he'll pick up 4 of the remaining delegates, giving her only a 12 delegate "huge" win.
