Whither Super Delegates after Pennsylvania?

Will Hillary's 10 pt (almost) win freeze uncommitted SDs? Will we see them continue to trickle in for Obama in the next couple of weeks? Will they start going to Hill? The sentiment of the pundit class was that she needed a 10+ pt win to stop SDs from endorsing Obama. She got that 10 pt (almost) win. What do the SDs do now? Freeze? Obama? Clinton?

1. I'm going to guess freeze.
They probably figure it's better to wait two weeks and bet on a "sure thing" for the sake of their political careers. If she wins Indiana, they'll probably break for her.

2. I don't know. When the primaries are over, whoever is leading in delegate count
and popular vote, should be the nominee

If the super delegates ignore that, and choose the candidate that gets the least votes and delegates, I suspect some of those supporters will not vote in the G.E.

It would be the biggest mistake of their lives, but it probably will occur

As for me I will vote for WHOEVER the Democratic nominee is, but to be honest, I will be quite disappointed if it isn't Obama

3. If she get the SD's to overturn the will of the people
I won't vote for McSame, but I will probably sit this one out.

4. I wish people would stop loftily speaking of the will of the people
She could still edge him out in popular vote- even though it's difficult to keep track of that- and then the SDs would have good reason to go for her. Having said that, I don't think that's going to happen. I don't even think the PA win is going to freeze the SDs. What the SD trend of the last 3 months shows us, is SDs don't want to back hillary- for a myriad of reasons.

5. I hear you, but I know where mccain stands on the issues
I want to sit it out if that happens, but I won't. I won't give a dime to a candidate who wins the nomination that way, but I will vote because I DO NOT WANT anymore justices like scalia and thomas, and I want a healthcare plan that insures everyone is covered

Hopefully, that won't happen. There is no reason that Obama should NOT win, but I don't put anything past the carville/clinton machine

I suspect if the nominee wins by the SD overturning the will of the people, or if it goes to the convention, we will lose the general election

If that happens, I will leave the Democrat party, and become an independent, because the party no longer represents me

7. I wish you'd follow the advice in my tagline
if she's the nominee. I actually don't think she's as much of a war monger as McCain, and the SC is vital. In any case, I don't think you'll have to deal with hilly as nominee. She's broke. She's behind, and NC will go for Obama by double digits, as will Oregon. I also think he can edge her out in Indiana.

Add to the list: layers upon layers of plastic sheeting to wrap oneself in, and duct tape to seal out the stench.

16. Break for her?
If this is how it's going down, maybe back in January we should've just let PA and IN decide our nominee right then and there. Nobody else votes, just these two states.

The only sure thing is that Barack Obama is a money machine and he's got a virtually insurmountable lead in pledged delegates. You're out of touch if you think the SDs are going to ignore all of that because Clinton picked up two states that were deemed important by Team Clinton.

8. People fail to realize that the SDs will be committed well before the last primary.
So that a candidate can cross the 2024 threshold by winning a state.

They won't decide afterwards and allow the smoky-backroom perception.

9.  I don't know. Agree that the SDs will make their will known
well before the convention, but I'm unconvinced that they'll do so before the last primary is held.

11. I think that would be a HUGE mistake.
The voters have to cast the last vote that puts one of the candidates over the top.

If it's out of their hands and the SDs have to pick a side, the other side is going to feel robbed.

I'm hoping the SDs will get in and BO can cross 2024 with a win in Oregon in late May.
