Hear That? The March of the Superdelegates has Begun: Oklahoma Gov. To Obama.
Gov. Brad Henry, who said earlier he would not endorse a Democratic presidential candidate until this summer's national convention, announced this morning he is supporting Barack Obama.

The endorsement means Obama, a U.S. senator from Illinois who finished second in Oklahoma's presidential primary earlier this year, picked up one more superdelegate.

"Senator Obama is uniquely positioned to unite our nation and move beyond the divisiveness and partisan skirmishes that too often characterize politics as usual in Washington,” said Henry, who is in the middle of his second term.

"Senator Obama and his positive message reflect the best of America,” Henry said.

The Democratic governor, in a statement released by Obama's campaign, pledged to Obama his support as a superdelegate at the convention.

Obama said: "I am proud to have Governor Henry's support today as we continue to build our grassroots movement for change. ...We're fortunate to have Governor Henry's backing, and I look forward to working with him in the months ahead to bring about real change not just for Oklahomans, but all Americans.”

Best thing about Gov. Henry's endorsement it he appears to have moved earlier than he originally indicated. Dean has told the Supers to move, and here they come! Obama-232, Hillary-255

The longer it goes on the more delusional Clinton becomes. She's on CNN right now spewing garbage and it's making me nauseous.

5. It's okay when the House of Lords votes for Obama? There should be a formula ...
that each state has to dictate how their "super" delegates vote. Individual discretion is like letting a House of Lords write legislation.

9. This isn't the right way to end this. She should step aside. Now.
It's the only way that her supporters won't feel betrayed by their own party. She has to end this, not the superdelegates.

12. She won't, though.
Shuster reported yesterday that the SuperD's are going to flood her with polite requests to step aside before they move to Obama publicly.

If she denies 80 or so of those calls, he's clinched it. SHe can still fly around the country, taking shots at the Democratic Nominee, but at her expense.

How can anyone support HRC's campaign - it has been proven that she lies and voted for WAR! I am amazed at how naive and sheep like her supporters are! Using the facade of voting for a woman! And one that is married to one of the BIGGEST lobbyist for Dubai and Saudi Arabia too!! We need to get this over with NOW!

Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 07:01 AM by Zenzic
It's just mathematically impossible for her to overcome Obama's lead. I hope the SDs realise this and go towards Obama.

EDIT: Spelling mistake at the "beginning" of my title!

24. The SD's do. Many of them are going to have to be re-elected
this Fall. They want to share the resources and ticket with the Nominee, not the runner-up. They also want HIllary to have the decency to make an exit without them having to jump in. But, IMO, they will.

This week's SD's should erase the 10 delegate bump Hillary got in PA.

28. Obama Shifting Focus From Clinton to McCain
EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Senator Barack Obama opened the next phase of his presidential campaign here Tuesday evening, seeking to turn his focus away from Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and persuade party leaders that time is running out for Democrats to start defining their Republican opponent.

A series of endorsements are scheduled to be announced in the coming days, including superdelegates who intend to pledge their support for Mr. Obama. And more campaign workers in the Chicago headquarters will be dedicated to taking on Senator John McCain of Arizona, the presumptive Republican nominee.

Mr. Obama only mentioned Mrs. Clinton by name once in his remarks at a rally here late Tuesday night, when he congratulated her on winning the Pennsylvania primary. He referred to Mr. McCain seven times, a pointed reminder to Democrats of the challenge that lies ahead.

“There is a sense of urgency about the time we’re losing and a sense of urgency that we not savage each other to the benefit of Senator McCain,” said David Axelrod, the chief strategist for Mr. Obama. “Ultimately, what this is about is the race in November.”

the county results take that away from Obama, so I am going with the 9.3, but who knows which one is right.

Either way, with one SD announcing, he just cut her lead from last night by over 10%
