Damn! she's a fighter! My political preferences aren't a secret on this page, and certainly I was pretty pissed last night when it looked like her campaign's sly insinuations about Obama's fitness for office paid off. But the fact is that she's fought tough, but fair, to gain her victories. I think there's a long term cost to pay for her winning style (as suggested by the 41% she gets when voters are surveyed on how trustworthy & honest the candidates are--both McCain & Obama stand at 61% ratings). But then again, politics is a short term business. George Bush showed a president only has to be not unpopular twice in a career to stay in office. Before you think this is a back handed compliment, remember that the last president to survive chronic low approval ratings was Harry Truman, who only had to be not unpopular once in his eight years in office.
It's getting down to crunch time for us Obama supporters. There's a lot we can learn and should learn from Senator Clinton. Whenever she has to, she delivers. Whenever she's cornered, she comes out swinging. I don't really like her all that much these days, but I admire the hell out of her. She may have that trademark Clinton style of always performing best politically when operating just an inch from death. But in the crunch, she keeps delivering. I'm by nature a cautious person--I don't like walking political tightropes all the time. But I'd be lying if I didn't admit to enjoying the sight of a gifted acrobat who can thumb her nose at gravity like that.

This morning I have to congratulate Hillary on her win, if she had not carried PA I would have been very suprised....I hear people talking about "if Hillary dosen't win I will vote for McCain or if Obama dosent win I will vote for McCain" My question is why? It is in our own best interest as Americans to get Republicans out of office. I support Obama, I believe he is the candidate who can win in Nov. but I will work for and support Hillary if the voters choose her, she will become my candidate. It would have been easier to switch if they had not bashed each other in the primary but I will support the Demoratic candidate in the in Nov. because I believe in America, believe in our Constitution.
