I called it exactly right: BLOWOUT. Obama is TOAST!!!
I told everyone it would be a blow out. Double Digit win.

Now is the time for ALL Democrats to tell Obama thanks for what he has done but IT IS TIME for him to move to the side as Democrats want to win in November.

Can Obama play some role in the 2008 election? Yes, of course. But, he is NOT a national candidate and time for him (and those who support him) to move to the side.

Hillary gives us the best chance to WIN and I think, finally, the media has changed their tune and is now going to start saying it.

I called it EXACTLY right!

the official percentages are 54.7 and 45.3. they are being rounded to appear to be in clinton's favor- 55 to 45, which gives us 10%, but the proper rounding is more like:
54.7 - 45.3 =9.4 rounded down to 9.

single digit win.

Clearly people continue to give money to candidates they regret voting for.

And where do you even get that logic from one vote in one state anyway? How does the opinion in PA reflect what people are feeling now in Texas or VA?

It wasn't a blowout. She won by 9 percent. That's not double digits. She netted just a handful of delegate. She's still done. Governor Henry endorsed him today. More SDs will follow in the coming days. She fucked herself with the negative crap and blowing her money on Penn and pals. She'll lose by double digits in NC and OR. She can't catch him in either pledged delegates or popular vote, and shortly she'll be behind in SDs.

She's done, dear. A political dead ducky.

at best. Insanity at worst. It is well known that one example of insanity is to do something, get a result that you don't like but keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Nothing that happened last night changes the fact that Obama continus to lead the delegate count and Hillary's chances of winning the nomination are slim to none. I congratulate her and her supporters but you're going to need a miracle to get the nomination. Carpe diem, though.

52. The OFFICIAL number is 8.6 according to the PA state gov
Who bloody cares what the MSM says? The OFFICIAL goverment count is all that matters as it has always been. I can't believe there are people actually taking the word of the MSM over the state government official tally. It was certainly no blowout, and it wasn't even favorable to Clinton. She was supposed to win by +20 here and didn't get even half that (though close to half... whoopdie doo... nothing to celebrate in that).

This is NOT good news for Clinton, and her supporters need to realize that and quit the jumping up and down and buckle down and work like hell for the remaining states or it's all going to be over for her, and her supporters will be standing around in their party hats wondering what the hell happened. She did well enough not to throw in the towell yet... that's all. Now is the time to be relieved by what is essentially nothing more than a reprieve and get to work, not tap the keg and do the victory dance.

61. Huh? You want the FRONTRUNNER to QUIT?
What's wrong with you?

You're asking the frontrunner in the primary to quit. And, you're asking him to surrender to a person who invigorates the Republican base, who is badly in debt and has no money for the general election, and no one to get more from, while Obama has millions in surplus and can go back to the base to get more.

Huh?

66. Irrelevant. She defines the outcome, not the numbers.
It's a death watch now. When Hillary comes out of denial, this will be over.

Patience.

69. Um, he's winning...
Why would he drop out? Hillary won ONE state more. That's it. He's won MANY MORE states than her, MANY MORE DELEGATES, and MUCH MORE POPULAR VOTES! (Not to mention the caucuses)

70. Currently the State elections site says only an 8.6 % win.
http://www.electionreturns.state.pa.us/

She lost ground over the last 3 weeks. She started out at 20% and won by only 8.6%. Less of a blow out and more like saved by the bell.

71. Obama has won 30 out of 44 states...so piss off, pops
Obama shaved 10+% off of Hillary's lead in Pennsylvania. She gained 10 more delegates than him and is still impossibly behind him by 150+ delegates.

You're implying that if a baseball team, behind by 10 runs, has a good inning and is now behind by 8 runs and is telling the other team they should leave the ball park.

I guess that's your reality.

79. If by Blowout, you mean a tire has blown out on Hillary's campaign
Then yes.

Hillary's single digit win in a supposed "Clinton stronghold" means that despite all her advantages (demographics, strong support of the state political machine, shared media market with her home state and name recognition), Obama was able to put in an extremely strong showing and convince many early Clinton supporters to switch their vote. Overcoming great odds, Obama whittled her lead down from 20+ points to less than half that.

Now, Hillary is even further from the nomination than before. In a hypothetical perfect race, she now needs to win the remaining states by a +5% greater margin than before PA. So, yes another tire has blown out on her campaign.
