All this talk about why can't Obama, or Hillary for that matter, close the deal.

We are in the middle of a historical campaign in which (1) an African-American OR (2) a woman will be at the top of a Presidential ticket for the first time. If one or the other had not been running, this would have been long over. But unfortunately, that's not the case. So, what we seem to have is 2 sides that won't budge. Both Sen Clinton and Sen Obama have very loyal, dedicated supporters and it is our job to ensure that we become one for the Party's sake. How we will do that I do not know, however, I think this is why neither has been able to 'close the deal' as the pundits are saying.
