HRC people . . . STOP saying "10%" and "double digit"
Here is the OFFICIAL Pennsylvania state election website:

http://www.electionreturns.state.pa.us/

with 99.44% of the returns received, Clinton is winning by 9.2%

Those are "single digits" folks. 9.2 rounds DOWN to 9. Not UP to 10.

1. I prefer saying she won by over 200,000 votes.
In fact I encourage all Hillary supporters to abandon "double digit win" to describe her PA victory and instead refer to the vote margin.

That way there is no confusion or spin.

3. We could say she lost by 21%
Because she needed to win by 30%

7. Except that the popular vote has nothing to do with how we select a nominee.
So you're inserting an irrelevent metric to make it look like a bigger win than it was.

No spin there.

13. Then why do people keep insisting that the SDs must support the popular vote winner?
You know, the whole "will of the people" meme.......

5. Using your math
CLINTON, HILLARY (DEM)- 1,237,696 -54.6% Rounded to nearest whole number= 55%
OBAMA, BARACK (DEM)- 1,029,672 -45.4% Rounded to nearest whole number=45%

19. I agree
From his link:

*** 9,212 out of 9,264 Districts (99.44%) Reporting Statewide ***

When it's complete, it could be 10%.

6. That's Two digits : 9 and 2
Get your math straight. She could only lose if she got exactly 9 percent (or 8, 7 ...).

9. We should say 12 delegate victory
Since delegates are what they are campaigning for and what defines victory

18. Facts are optional, apparently
The facts say, she didn't get 10%. She didn't get double digits. That's it. She has to get 10% to get 10%. She didn't.

She won, I'll absolutely give her that, but she didn't win particularly big.

She won by just under 10%

That's all there is to it.

20. hmmmmmm ... thinking .... NO!

The way it works is, rounding UP or DOWN to the nearest WHOLE number.

Thus:

Clinton: 54.6% = 55%

Obama: 45.4% = 45%

10 points = double digits.

22. Comple the math before rounding.
Clinton - Obama = percent difference.

54.6 - 45.4 = 9.2

Then round 9%

Just the way it works.

23. Why are you rounding at all?
Why not be precise and say 9.2 %?

Oh, I know why . . . because the "conventional wisdom" going into PA was that HRC NEEDED a double digit win to remain a "viable" candidate.

Therefore the HRC campaign NEEDS to exaggerate the size of Hillary's victory (. . . WOW did you just hear that Bosnian sniper fire?!!! . . .) so that she can justify her decision to stay in the race.

21. 10% wasn't that impressive in the first place.
She had to get 15% to 20% to impress the super delegates. Obama was was down by 20 to 25% just a few weeks ago. Her support really slid in a state that was tailor made for her. Now that it is 9% that only removes the 'double digit' spin they tried to put on this. Of course no matter what the outcome there was going to be spin by HRC so she could stay in the race.
