Only 4.4 percent of Arkansas' 1.5 million voters have declared any
> political party, said Janet Miller, the secretary of state's deputy
> for elections.
>
> "Voter registration by party affiliation is an optional choice, and we
> have found that a very, very small number of registered voters
> declare," Miller
> said. "And if you do declare, it isn't binding. They just ask you
> which ballot you want when you show up at the polls."
>
> Arkansans couldn't even declare party affiliation until 1996, when an
> amendment to the state constitution let voters add optional party
> information
> box to their registration forms.

4. This is all LIES!!!!
Why Clark is actually a robot and inside him is the brain of Strom Thurmond that has been kept alive in Karl Rove's lab on the island of evil. I know it's true, 'cause I read it on the Internet.

You can't fool me!!! I am on to you people.

Actually, thanks for the post, it does get sort of monotonous swatting at the same flies everyday. Thanks for a great flyswatter.

5. Great Post!
All democrats have to keep in mind that the bush folks will always try to divide us....there will be outright lies and confusing distortions about all good democratic candidates ... the stronger the candidate, the more insideous the smears. Unity is our key to success, and this post is a great example of truth exposing lies.

7. The ones spewing this republican crap
are only doing it because they have nothing else to lie about, they know it isn't true, hell dean knew it wasn't true when he said it, we can't stop them from saying it, and I refuse to lower myself to their level by pointing out time and again that their wrong, it just makes them giggle to think we're dumb enough to believe they don't know their lying.

Ignore the Ignorant.

How dare HE not want to see america fail! some nerve!

"But I do know Colin Powell and Paul O’Neill and Don Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney. I wished them well.
I wish they could have led this country well.
I don’t want to see America fail."

10. Voter registration means precisely zip
My girlfriend used to be registered republican because her father, a serious GOPer, was stadning behind her when she filled out her card, so she checked republican just to avoid his shit, but she would not vote Republiacn for love or money. Noitice that part about it not being binding?

Clark voted GOP in most every election of his life. He tried to run as Republican, but as he said, Karl Rove did not return his calls.

Clark is no Democrat.

12. But isn't it amazing
that Karl Roves office, where all calls are tracked, has NO record of a call from Wes?

What could that possibly mean?

LOL...perhaps that, as Wes said, he was speaking in jest?

Nah...some folks would rather believe the repuks that "claimed" they "know better".

After all...we should all believe every word that dribbles from any repukican's lips...shouldn't we?

13. My understanding of this controversy is that
My understanding of this controversy is that Wesley Clark wanted a role in fighting Al Quaeda after September 11 and had his friends contact Bush Administration but the Bush Administration didn't offer him a position.

I think that if a Democratic administration had been in power, he would have also sought a position at that time.

15. Not that I buy that Rovian story
But I think Clark is the kind of guy who believes in leadership over party affiliation. He can be a uniting force as our president. His thinking on domestic issues is clearly more democratic.

14. At one time, Reagan and Giuliani were Democrats- two of most beloved
Republicans!!!

Clark was not a Republican and we are debating about purity? Makes me sick. Moore is right about this issue. Talk about issues, this is nonsense.
