A list of why we are electing a Democrat |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 02:46 PM by barack the house
1) Irresponsible spending. Not accounting for enough incomings to meet outgoings. 2) Concerns over a potential war with Iran. 3) Making sure insurance companies no longer had a strangle hold on healthcare. 4) e were tired of all the lies. 5) More transparency in government. 6) False patriotism hiding behind a flag whilst conducting unconstitutional torture. 7) To be able to be compensated if corporations hurt, hinder us or exploit our privacy. 8) Fat cats having too much say in government. 9 A safer country that is less divided by fear of one another. 9) Less war so there is more funding for roads, better trained police making us all safer. 10) Beacuse we realise guns in society need some controls, so we can walk the streets in peace of mind.
Feel free to add more.

9. Who says we're electing a Democrat? |
|
At the rate we're going, we're going to elect McCain.
BTW #10 is already true.

12. Numbers 2, 3, 4, and 7 wouldn't be solved by having a Democrat elected into office... |
|
Nor do I see number 10 as applicable, guns are a problem, but it would be more effective to prevent the conditions that allow crimes, especially violent ones, to flourish. Anti-poverty measures, increased investment in the inner cities, legalize all drugs and regulate their sales reasonably, and publicly fund college tuition and health care and you would do much to reduce violent crime. But I don't see our candidates doing any of that stuff.

14. So you mean to say Republicans bring us close to a resolution? viable We've got 2 picks. |

15. No, they would make things worse, but the Democratic candidates... |
|
won't solve those problems either.
