WHO is spending millions and still failing???
I've been beyond amused at the Clinton supporters running rampant on these forums the last few days trying to push their "Barack outseptnt hillary 3-1 and still didn't WIN!!! He's unelectable!!!" meme... and here's why:

Obama spent 9 million in Pennsylvania and did this:

Clinton spent Well Over One Hundred And Fifty Million across the nation for the last 6 months or so and has done this:

Since November/December when the campaign season really ramped up and got serious leading into Iowa she has gone from just under 45% support nationwide to... around 40% support nationwide. She's dropped 4 freaking points. And it's not like she peaked up and then dipped back, her averages NEVER break 45%.

In November/December it was a multi-candidate race splitting the vote several ways. Since then Biden dropped out, Richardson dropped out, Kucinich dropped out, Edwards dropped out... and Clinton made ZERO progress. She's spent 9 figures campaigning across the nation for half a year and has had NO impact on her support levels, which never reach or rise above 50%, even when she had the helping hand of most of the field she was running in leaving the race during that time she can't bring in new people. But Obama is unelectable because he only improved 10 to 15% in Pennsylvania in a few weeks.

The amazing levels of delusion at work here slays me. Or it would if it wasn't expressed in a manner so incredibly insulting to our intelligence.

4. It's about delegates... he was going to lose 30-35 delegates in PA a month ago..ended up losing 12..

...and bankrupted his opponent in the process.

That's a good month, and a good investment.

17. The "insulting of intelligence" appears to be 'incidental'.
Apparently they're not trying to 'insult' anyone's intelligence, they just really believe in the bullshit.

23. Exactly,
but you can't "reason" with someone whose opinions aren't grounded in reality.

It's like trying to convince evangelicals that Jesus isn't divine.

He edited in the "Good job Barry" after he posted. Like he looked at it and said "hmmm, this just isn't childish enough, it needs some flair..."

20. Not only that he had 6 weeks
So much for the theory that the more people see Obama the more they like him.

22. Dude... the more they saw him...
...the more they liked him. The line goes UP. That's what that means.

Can it be that the source of the apparent inability of Clinton supporters to acknowledge the reality of the race is an inability to read graphs? We may have stumbled onto something here.

16. That's the real question that needs to be answered

How does the kid holding his breath scream? :P

It's kind of like asking "What happened to that 150 million?"

3. I'd say he got a better return than she did for her $5M
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 03:55 PM by LSparkle
It didn't end the race on Super Tuesday as she'd expected it
would ... and her lack of organization led to him winning a
dozen states in a row.

He didn't expect to WIN in PA, just to come close (which he
did -- she won by only 9 points, not 10 BTW).

13. Those people didn't understand that Hillary doesn't have 9 mill to spend. She's spent!
He won even though he lost because now she's still in the hole and people like me are still donating to Obama because we don't want the establishment running our country anymore. "We" want to run this country. Establishment has messed this country up and now "We" have to fix it.
