Do you find yourself making political donations for the first time ever?

If you'd like to post a comment on it, please do. I'm not asking who you're donating TO, just if you are, for the first time in your life, making donations.

I'm in my mid-40's, and until this election have never donated to a political candidate (I might have sent some Dean's way, but I don't remember). Anyway, for the first time, because I find this election so critical to our future that we get Dems in office, I find myself here and there putting some money down. Do you find yourself doing the same thing too?

If you've been a frequent contributor over the years, then likely you would have donated this time too.

However, if you've never bothered to contribute, but now find the election (not just between the dems, but dems and GOP) critical enough to start digging into your pockets to support one or more candidates, that says something about how much people want to see change effected.

On edit: On re-reading it, I think maybe I missed it in my phrasing. The "no" means "I haven't before, and I'm don't think I need to now either". For completeness sake, perhaps I could have put a category for those who always have, although it doesn't fit with the question. If you always donate, this poll doesn't apply to you.

I will only contribute once the Democratic Party selects our candidate for President. I do not want to waste my money on a primary that is way overdue.
