with the "extreme" ad that McCain disowned, the right wing radio is encouraging R's to vote for her in primaries, or to change registration to Democrat and Fox "News" and MSRNC are full throat for her. She laughing all the way through it.

11. Clinton's negatives are high (fact). She will fire up R's because of their hate for her. (Opinion)
"People's perceptions are what matter in politics"(somebody on DU said this). That is my perception. I don't hate Clinton and was a big supporter (donated) until Rhode Island.

14. They have to sign a pledge of allegiance to their new party, lying on the pledge is a felony.
A staggering 16,000-plus Republicans in Cuyahoga County switched parties when they voted in last week's primary.

<>

At least one member of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections wants to investigate some Republicans who may have crossed party lines only to influence which Democrat would face John McCain in November.

Anyone who crossed lines was supposed to sign a pledge card vowing allegiance to their new party. In Cuyahoga County, dozens and dozens of Republicans scribbled addendums onto their pledges as new Democrats.

"For one day only."

"I don't believe in abortion."

A Plain Dealer review of thousands of records showed few of those who switched were challenged by poll workers.

Sandy McNair, a Democratic member of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, said Friday that the manipulation of the system was troublesome.

"It's something that concerns me, that I think needs to be looked at further," McNair said. "This is not a structural thing by the Republican Party. If it's a problem at all, it's on an individual level."

Lying on the pledge is a felony, punishable by six to 12 months in jail and a $2,500 fine.

10. It's never been illegal .....
...it's how the game is played, i.e. according to the written rules. If the Dem primary was/is a gimme, like 96, I switch to have a say (or to cause mischief)!

12. bullshit. we won't lose either, and anyone who's informed
knows that. Warner will still win in VA, Udall in NM, Shaheen in NH, and very likely Mark Udall in CO. Mark Begich has an excellent chance in AK as does Al Franken in MN. The only vulnerable dem is supposedly Mary Landrieu and she has a double digit lead over Kennedy.

In the House we'll pick up at least 8 seats.

16. Yes, we will lose both houses of congress if Hillary leads the ticket.
It will be a slaughter, and we will be right back where we were - a GOP controlled judiciary, house, senate, and executive.
