Chuck Todd Just Said He doesn't see Hillary even being able to win the Popular vote
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 07:34 PM by SunsetDreams
He said it's all about the pledged delegates in a primary anyway.

Edited to add he said she has to win NC to make a dent in the pop vote
He also said that as it stands now she has to win the rest of the contests by 69%, after May 6th, it jumps to 85%

In the end she will lose the popular vote, the pledged delegates, states won, primaries and caucuses won.

He's outraised her, she's ran a crappy campaign compared to his brilliant one.

She's seriously in debt, with 10,000,000 owed to small businesses and Universities/college kids

Obama just has to ride it out!

11. If she could hold Obama to a very small victory in NC...
She could conceivably still win the popular vote if she counts FL. And she does intend to count FL if it gives her more votes than Obama. Forget Party rules.

However, if Obama wins big in NC, it is most likely over as far as the popular vote is concerned. She will only have her "electoral vote" argument left.

34. Here in NC I see
Obama yard signs everywhere and with few exceptions everyone is talking about Obama and the negative campaign Hillary has been unleashing on him. NC has been hard hit by NAFTA, once the center of textile and furniture manufacturing virtually all the former mills are now closed or torn down. This transpired literally over the past 9 years or so and yes, Tarheels are VERY bitter about NAFTA and they sure as hell know who was on watch when it was implemented.

I cannot imagine anything other than a blow out for Clinton here. As an added bonus, unlike Ohio and PA, the greater portion of NC votes on paper ballots, and the electronic machines that remain in a few counties like Mecklenburg do incorporate a paper trail.

http://www.verifiedvoting.org/verifier/map.php?&topic_string=5std&year=2008&state=North_Carolina

Many here are looking forward to NC being the State that puts the final nail in the Hillary campaign coffin. Our primary is so late in the season that nobody can remember the last time our primary votes actually made a difference, so there is tons of excitement.

Seriously, what is so hard to understand that she cannot win the PDs or popular vote, making it impossible for the SDs to justify in any way giving her the election?

10. Here's a Todd prediction: Bush's approval will be 50% by July 4th, 2007
If Pelosi became speaker of the House. And so she did, and Bush's approval was around 30% by Todd's deadline.

That's how smart he is:

Look at McCain's numbers. If Pelosi had tried to end the war, or impeach, he would have been exactly right.

way they do an individual state, m$nbc would have called it for Obama by now.

He's won it. Chuck Todd knows it. Keith Olbermann knows it. m$nbc knows it. Everyone knows it. Some are just in denial.

Lather, rinse, repeat until all other hosts/anchors get it. Keep going until the public gets it.

17. Give her Florida and Obama still leads, give her Michigan where she's on ballot and he's not
and she takes the lead, but what about the 40% who voted uncommitted? give them to Obama (just to be fair)? and guess what? Obama is back in the lead in the popular vote. He then builds on it with big wins in NC and Oregon and other states. She won't take the popular vote either.

47. best possible scenario
Bill and Hill realize they are not the best possible solution for either the democratic party or the country, say they had 8 years
in the WH and are willing to let others serve for the best of dems & country. It really would be the noble thing to do, the Bush
family acts like the White House is their own private estate, now the Clintons are pulling the same thing, it's time that someone
else leads America, it's time for Obama.
