A question - and please support answers with data...
In PA, Obama was behind at one point by 25 points, which he closed to 9 (or slightly less, depending on whom you listen to).
Has Clinton done anything similar(a.k.a., closed a big gap with Obama)?

10. I didn't know Obama won NH with 40% of the vote
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 08:05 PM by sniffa
Weird.

edit: You really don't need to spin NH. The momentum shown in the rapid polls leading up to NH showed Obama blowing everyone out of the water. Some were outliers (such as him winning by 14%) but all of the up to the minute polls showed him ahead and rapidly pulling away. That's why it was such a shock when he lost the popular vote, but tied her for delegates.

3. no she sure hasn't
KO and Chuck Todd were talking tonight about that very thing.

KO said that he has gone up in polls and she has gone down.

7. That 25 point lead is from another poll. You shouldn't compare different polling outfits
Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 07:53 PM by book_worm
if you wanted to compare SUSA their last poll had Obama at 10 so she closed it by 1 other polls have had him from 15-25 points ahead.

8. Nope, I can't think of any state where she wasn't favored coming in
that she exceeded expectations. Obama, however, has gained in many of the states where she led and ultimately won.

11. New Hampshire
Polls showed Senator Obama well in the lead. Who won that contest? Small state, big difference.

12. Here is an example
Look here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x5600932

According to this poll from the day before the PA election Clinton went from 3 points down to her 9 point victory - a 12 point swing.

And, no, I don't believe the poll was accurate and Clinton actually had a 12 point swing in her direction. But I also don't think she was ever really up by 25 points.

Edited on Wed Apr-23-08 09:22 PM by Innocent Smith
It was the final poll by Public Policy Polling for PA, but it was NOT from the day before the election. It was just posted on DU the day before the election. They polled on April 19th and 20th (Saturday and Sunday).
