Is this PA delegate count correct?
Edited on Thu Apr-24-08 06:17 AM by rox63
NY Times shows Clinton only getting 1 more delegate than Obama, with 30 still unpledged delegates.

Check the link: http://politics.nytimes.com/election-guide/2008/results/states/PA.html

1. 31 pledged delegates not accounted for.
So the actual count will be different from the 127 the NYT lists as committed to Clinton or Obama.

2. This is with 99% of precicts reporting
That why I was confused. I was expecting Clinton to net more than 1.

4. This is the same chart (I think) that CNN is using.
I agree that it is odd. As there is no explanation we can only guess.

5. There's an explanation further down in the link, but I was MORE confused after reading
"Based on the results of the April 22 primary, 158 pledged delegates are awarded to presidential candidates; of these, 103 are awarded proportionally based on the results in each of the state's 19 Congressional districts, and 55 are awarded proportionally based on the results statewide. The remaining delegates attend the national convention unpledged; of these, three are selected by the state Democratic committee, and the rest are either party leaders or elected officials."

7. Hillary nets 9 delegates so far
as reported on the Huffington Post's story on their front page, linked to CBS:

http://election.cbsnews.com/campaign2008/d_delegateScorecard.shtml

Hillary: 82 delegates, Obama: 73 delegates. 3 delegates left to be determined, so Hillary will net somewhere between 6 and 12, probably closer to 12 if I had to guess.

Then again, as Hillary reminded us, there's no such thing as a pledged delegate any, so why are we bothering to keep track of the score? :eyes:
