Obama DID Seal the Deal with Pennsylvania. The Race Is Over. |
|
This is why Clinton's campaign has been using the meme that Obama can't seal the deal. Because he did. Clinton gained absolutely no ground in PA. In fact, Obama gained quite a bit. He improved his percentages by more than 10 points in every single demographic that has been going strictly for Clinton. He took a 25+ point lead down to a 9 point lead in six weeks in spite of the fact that the Clinton smear machine was going 24/7 and had the favor of the MSM to repeat the attacks over and over again. This is why Obama had to spend so much: Clinton gained free advertising with all of her attacks, while Obama had to spend money for every positive ad. It was an amazing achievement that the Clinton campaign needs to belittle and denigrate in order to stay afloat. The fact is, it's over. She can't even win the popular vote at this point and she has gone to desperate measures as to lie about it by counting Michigan. But as revealed on MSNBC by both Finemen and Chuck Todd, the Super Delegates, while they are considering the Popular Vote *and* are counting Florida, they are not counting Michigan. The desperation of the Clinton campaign is quite obvious to them now as revealed by the attacks on Obama's gains and Clinton's desperate spin. Clinton's campaign is neutralized with well over 10 million in debt. In two weeks, when Obama trounces Clinton in NC, the SD can end this miserable race on a positive note. That is what they are waiting for.

1. Is that why the GOP is helping Hillary in NC? |
|
By running the very negative ads about Obama's preacher and his avedrsion to the death penalty for drug criminals?

2. Who knows why the GOP does anything. But Clinton needs to step up and denounce it. |
|
She hasn't, while McCain has, which says everything that needs to be said.

If it is over, there was no reason for him to outspend Clinton in PA or to continue to fight in Indiana.

|
That's right, Obamists hate democracy. That's why FL can't send any delegates. Except they will and will be seated on a motion to suspend the rules at the convention.
So but you hacks have no business dictating what the "right thing" is.

21. How many fucking times do we have to go through this? |
|
Obama wasn;t even on the god-damned Michigan ballot. His name wasn't even on the ballot. Hillary agreed that Michigan didn't count, and Obama wasn't on the ballot. Why wasn't he on the ballot? Because the DNC asked the candidates to remove themselves from the ballot. Obama and Edwards complied. Hillary didn't. Now, even though everybody agreed it wouldn't count, when the results ended up favoring Clinton (as they surely would without Obama and Edwards on the ballot) now you want to count it?
Sorry. It's over. You cannot change the rules in the middle of the game to benefit your candidate. If you're willing to go that far to win the nomination, you're fucking pathetic. You lost. Move on.

24. Not counting now has nothing to do with November... Dems in MI will vote Dem in Nov..... |
|
...non-Dems in MI were not disenfranchised during the primaries, so they have no beef.
Indies who like Obama will vote Obama in MI. Same with Repukes. Neither group was "disenfranchised" by our primary system.
As for the Dems in Michigan... they'll vote for the Dem nominee, for the most part.
It's a non issue.

19. Hillary came up short at 9.2% and +11 or 12 delegates |
|
That's less than half of what Obama netted out of Virginia.
She's earned 60% of the vote in one state, he has done it 15 times. That's why it's over.

They are more likely $20 million in debt by now, so the $10 million they just earned would only pay down half of that.

She is astronomically far away from "sealing the deal," so she says Obama can't. She has been throwing blacks under the bus by the millions and sucking up to bigots, so she says Obama is playing the race card. She's using the worst kind of divisive fear mongering, so she says Obama's rebuttals are "Rovian".
All these kinds of things and everything else that has gone on during this campaign really makes me wonder what goes on in her head. I imagine some kind of twisted hall of mirrors, full of tortured logic and pink unicorn fantasy math. Why would I want that troubled mind running the country?

38. Obama's only danger is if Clinton somehow manages to win all the remaining races. |
|
Obama needs to win at least 1 or 2 of the remaining states, post-Wright/bitter/debate/etc, to alleviate worries about the damage done by the Clinton attacks. If Obama can win a few of the remaining races, then Hillary's popular vote nonsense will carry no weight.
NC and Oregon should be sufficient, and a double-digit margin in NC, alone, should do the trick. (It'll be laughable for Clinton to make any noise over a win in Indiana given her past proclamations about small, "red" states.)

it wont make much of a difference in the numbers going into the convention but it will give her that last little bit of wiggle juice to make us wait till Denver.
I doubt seriously she can pull it off especially considering the cash advantage he has on her now. If it did though I think you are right it will go to the convention.
