The funny thing is, Obama would be just the kind of politician I'd expect Bill Clinton to support |
|
In the absence of his wife in the race, Obama seems tailor-made as the kind of Democratic candidate Bill could support: roots and connections in the black community, fairly but not overly business-friendly, a hell of a campaigner, messages of change, hope, and economic awareness, young, a member of the church community - it sounds like Clinton in 1992.
It's kind of a shame to have Bill trying to destroy the guy, and even more ironic since he's going to fail and Hillary will have to wait 8 more years to try again.
Bill, you got out-maneuvered by someone using a lot of your old messages (but with Dean's 50-state strategy). Deal with it and end this farce.

I agree that Clinton would have probably supported Obama had Hillary not run. Don't agree that she'll ever run again. She's burned too many bridges.
