Remember when Bill did the interview with Mark Davis & not Rush?
Edited on Thu Apr-24-08 10:19 AM by redqueen
I had the displeasure of seeing a few minutes of Mark this morning, talking about Carter's visit with Hamas.

He referred to Carter as a bitter old crank, and said he was the worst ex-president alive, and then proceeded to talk about the visit, at which point I changed the channel.

Just wanted to give people some idea of how much difference there is between Rush & Mark Davis.

1. Jimmy is fun and hardworking. He is the only ex-president
who did something useful with his time. He helped build houses for the homeless. Maybe this disinformation stuff needs to be challenged in court.

4. I don't know if it can be...
our laws aren't as strict as in the UK.

I just want it to be known that this guy is a hack like Rush... because a few people really thought it was meaningful that it wasn't actually Rush that Bill talked to.

2. Poor Billy Clinton was just a babe in the woods!
He had no idea he was giving an interview to a right-wing wacko who was hosting Limbaugh's show that day!

5. Mark Davis was hosting Rush's show the day B. Clinton was on, correct?
Let's be honest with ourselves. Any person who would be asked to sit in for Rush is presumed to be an idiot. Any person who would actually be willing to sit in for Rush and rip apart Democrats via hate speech and lies is a partisan ass who bows to his corporate masters. Any DUer who would deny this is a bit too caught up in the primaries or just wanting to argue.

I wouldn't waste your time proving a point that's that obvious if I were you, redqueen.

6. Yeah... it really ticked me off, though, hearing him spew that crap.

Frickin RW a-hole.

Couldn't help being reminded of seeing people here try to defend that interview by pointing out "but it wasn't RUSH!"... frickin grr.

9. It seems to be an odd internet phenomenon
I came to DU after the primary was over but I've been told that 2004 wasn't that different than this time. People in real life aren't even half as nasty or foolish in their support of their candidate as they are on the internet. I believe part if it is just the manners of dealing with a person face to face forces people to be more diplomatic. Sometimes when you're in a position of diplomatically dealing with people on a daily basis who disagree with your choice, you develop a wealth of repressed emotions. Some of these people then come to the internet to release these emotions in ugly and childish ways. Even if that means defending some of the nastiest, most ignorant rightwing idiots on the planet, just because what they said is sure to piss off their oppositions supporters.

This is the reason I don't read but a fraction of what's posted in GDP anymore. Of that fraction of post I do read most are still over the top foolishness, mere projections of the posters desires, which have no real facts to their claims. Every once in while though I still read a good and I'm sure there's more that I miss because they get lost in the shuffle of all the craziness.

10. I don't get it...
but I can't stand Mark Davis... or the fact that people seem to think he's not so bad.
