Racism is an issue but not Sexism????? Camp Clinton has been saying |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-24-08 10:47 AM by nomad1776
Hillary is the victim of rampant sexism. Now all of that has dissappeared and the issue is that the Country has rampanant racism instead?!?!?!?!!? :wtf: Seems to me once again, camp Clinton is play fast and loose with the fact. They distort reality on a daily basis, in what ever manner suits them.

1. Be nice if you put this in some context, like a quote from her or some |
|
actual facts that appear to be found only in your mind and you couldn't see fit to transfer to your post.

6. I will say it another way- You can't have it both ways |
|
You can whine about being a victim of sexism and turn around and say Obama can't be elected because he is black. Either Hillary and her supporters LIED about being the victims or they LIED about Obama being unelectable. Which is it?

13. Hillary has had to overcome sexist attitudes. |
|
Obama has had to overcome racist attitudes, yet both are electable.
The "electability" argument is a fools errand. Neither Obama nor Clinton are obviously more electable than the other. The main thing that hurts both candidate's prospects are the ceaseless, over the top teeth gnashing from Democrats.

15. That's not what is coming out of your candidate's camp |
|
She is now pushing the idea that the Country isn't ready for a black man to be President, which is different from their "Obama is lucky to be black" theme of last month.

I'm sorry, I'm a little slow sometimes. I didn't get your point in the other thread. Now I understand. You do have a valid point. I never thought about it that way.

I chalk this one up to sexism: http://sweetness-light.com/archive/gary-aldrich-on-the-clintons-christmas-treeIts sad but I think sexism in our society is a lot more acceptable than racism so these infractions are often ignored.

7. The OP is not denying the existence of sexism. . . |
|
. . .the OP is merely saying that if the threat of racism is enough to disqualify Obama then the threat of sexism should be enough to disqualify Clinton.
I personally think that whoever our nominee is will have to confront an "ism" and as Democrats we should take that fight on with pride.

14. Have you noticed that there are suddenly many similarly themed articles coming out? |
|
All talking about Obama's race hurting him? Remember when camp Clinton was saying Obama was lucky to be a black man?

22. It is the Obama camp claiming Obama loses Dem primaries because of racism |
|
These same people also say that Obama will win the GE when there will be far more racists as a percentage of the electorate voting and half as many blacks, as a percentage. The Clinton camp has nothing to do with such a ridiculous argument.
