I didn't know this stuff and I feel like I am fairly well informed. Does anybody know about this? What happened to the case? If this has been discredited, let me know because I am just curious. This is the first time I have posted any links so let me know if they don't work. I hope I am doing it right.

Summary
In a video that has logged millions of views on the Internet since early October, Peter Paul, a felon who helped produce a gala fundraiser for the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton’s 2000 Senate campaign, makes a number of false or misleading charges against the presidential contender and former First Lady. Among them:

• The video gives the false impression that the Clintons somehow caused Paul to be investigated for securities fraud as retaliation for a lawsuit he filed against them. But the investigation – and Paul’s indictment – came first.

• A lawyer appearing on the video claims that a telephone conversation between Paul, Hillary Clinton and others shows that she had knowledge of and perpetrated illegal campaign activities, when the conversation illustrates no such thing. It only shows Hillary thanking organizers of a fundraiser.

• The same lawyer alleges that the actions of Clinton and those working for her amounted to "the largest fraud in election funding history," a claim that is absurd. The campaign was fined for a reporting violation, not "fraud." And the fine was relatively modest compared with other FEC fines.

• The video makes deceptive use of an ABC "20/20" clip in an effort to prove that the Clintons pretended not to know who Paul was after his criminal past came to light.

If I recall correctly from previous discussion, the video has no explanation of why Paul was in Brazil and then blames his incarceration on the long arm off the Clinton's - to get him out of the way while they pillaged his business interests...

He was apparently there fleeing fraud charges, and that was likely the reason for his imprisonment. If I had a business associate who had fled indictment and was in a Brazilian prison awaiting extradition to face miscellaneous charges, I would probably cut my ties and cut my losses. As the Clinton's seem to have done.

5. It's about a man who raised campaign funds for

HRC in 2000 and says the Clintons defrauded him and destroyed his company (Stan Lee Entertainment) and that the Clintons committed election law fraud big time. It looks like he had a lot of evidence against them to back up what he says. He filed a civil lawsuit against the Clintons and I would like to know what happened to it. I have no idea if this is for real or not-I just stumbled onto these on YouTube and hadn't heard this stuff before and am asking if anybody knows about it. If it's true, it is very shocking information.

I have been trying all morning to see if anybody has heard about this. And I am going to keep trying to get an answer somewhere. Even the vile MSM should report if a presidential candidate was involved in a civil case accusing them of campaign finance fraud (and worse) and had a shit load of evidence proving it. That since the MSm is owned by right wing corporations, they are keeping this quite because they don't want Obama to win, they want Hillary! They are keeping a lot of stuff out of the news so they can continue to attack Obama and make Hillary look better then him so she can get the nomination. Of course "IF" she did get the nomination, you can bet your last dollar they will bring all these kind of things out in the open, and run them 24/7 to help McCain get out the republican base!

This is not made up or slander against Hillary. This is not about being associated with someone else and someone else's behavior. There is a lot of evidence that what this man is saying is true and crimes have been committed. I certainly want to know about it because it will be a big issue in the GE if Hillary got the nom. Why is it a Repub landmine and why should people on DU not know about it? Everything about Wright, Rezko, etc. is OK on DU and not something like this? Why would Obama not want people to know about a potential campaign issue that would help elect McCain? Just asking.

A judge in Los Angeles yesterday allowed Hollywood mogul Peter F. Paul to begin taking sworn testimony in his $17 million fraud suit against former President Bill Clinton, but a technicality delayed establishment of a trial date.

California Superior Court Judge Aurelio N. Munoz ruled Paul's legal team can begin seeking depositions from a host of big names – including Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton – that allegedly were witnesses to an effort by the Clintons and top Democratic leaders to extract millions of dollars from Paul in illegal donations and then cover it up.

Munoz is expected to set the trial date at an April 25 hearing. He said yesterday in court he could not set the date, because defendant Jim Levin, an aide to President Clinton, must be served notice again. Levin did not respond to the original complaint, and Paul's legal counsel at the time – the Washington watchdog Judicial Watch – did not file a notice of default to verify that fact before filing an amended complaint.<snip>
