Pardon Power.... whitewater pardon revisisted....or the life of a serial liar....
Edited on Thu Apr-24-08 07:51 PM by ORDagnabbit
did you know 14 people were convicted of 40 crimes over whitewater?
did you know 4 of those people were pardoned by Clinton as he left office?

Prosecutors were never sure about Mrs. Clinton's involvement because could not get to her time sheets documenting what services she had provided. Then one day, the missing billing records - detailing her work for the McDougals' failing S&L in the 1980s - simply popped out from the White House family residence. A Clinton staffer said she had found the printouts stashed in a box in a storage room. Prosecutors had issued a subpoena for them 18 months earlier and angrily summoned Mrs. Hillary Clinton before a federal grand jury.

The billing records showed that Mrs. Clinton drafted a real estate document regulators later said had misled bank examiners. Prosecutors concluded that McDougal and others had used her legal work to conceal unlawful activity. But Mrs. Clinton she said she did not know where the billing records had been and that she could not recall the work she had done for the S&L 10 years earlier

The billing records did not present a pretty picture regarding Hillary Clinton. They showed that she drafted a real estate document regulators later said had misled bank examiners. Prosecutors concluded that McDougal and others had used her legal work to conceal unlawful activity

2. I continue to be astonished by how we have turned on someone we supported
We are changing and I don't like how we toss over old loves.

6. because Hillary Clinton is running for president
and now it matters. Then it didn't. To some, anyway.

And actually, I didn't really know the details. I only really started learning about the Clintons after the 2004 election.

5. The Clintons want this to happen.
They are begging for it every time they come up with a new attack strategy against the 2008 Democratic Party presidential nominee.

* Wright - a character assassination of a good man.
* Ayers - omfg, get real
* flag pin????? - which the SHILLS on NPR are still pushing without once mentioning that no one else was * wearing it at the debate ("Obama should have worn it" - jhfc.....)
* various miscellaneous other stupid-gates that thankfully I can't recall at this early hour of the morning.

This didn't have to happen. Hillary has lost the nomination. Why drag her and Bill through the mud? Because they insist on doing that to Obama and hurting our chances in the GE.

If using this stuff helps Obama close the door on the Clinton-Republican tag team against him, then it needs to be used, and Clinton supporters have no excuse for whining about it.

7. Yes, they've been trying to lure Obama into the Angry Black Man trap
Edited on Sat Apr-26-08 08:40 AM by TragedyandHope
"Angry Black Male beating up on a poor older white woman!" Hmm, I wonder how that's going to play?

Too bad for them, our next President is smarter and better than that.

So, they turn to plan B, which is an attempt to emasculate him with the "Oh, he's not tough enough. He can't face the Republicans" argument.

Sorry, that didn't work either. American voters have seen through Mark Penn and the Clintons Rovian game. Obama flat out refuses to play their games and refuses to let them push him in a direction of their choosing.

American voters see the true strength of character that Obama has shown throughout the campaign and they have chosen him to lead our country.
