Hillary Claims she didn't know about Bill's Sentence Commutation of 2 Weather Underground members
Doesn't past the smell test. Someone should ask Sen Shumer if he ever informed Hillary of the oppostion:

You can watch the video below. If it's true, it means that she got the worst briefings in the world when she was running for Senate in 2000 and the clemency issue was hot in Rockland County, and it means that Chuck Schumer didn't even bother to mention the issue to his fellow NY senator-elect/ First Lady after promising the widows of two dead cops to fight against one of the clemencies.

Here's the chronology:

On October 19, 2000, as Hillary was hunting for Senate votes throughout New York, Rockland County's biggest paper, the Journal News, ran a front page story reporting that imprisoned radical Susan Rosenberg -- linked to the 1981 Weather Underground Brinks robbery that left two Nyack cops dead -- was seeking clemency from Bill Clinton.

The next day, the widows and fellow state and local police attended a memorial service for the two dead cops at the site of the killings. Also in attendance: Sen. Chuck Schumer, who in that fall was frequently campaigning with Hillary. According to another front page story, on Oct. 21, he made a pledge to the widows to fight the clemency: "I intend to take our opposition as high as I can in government."

On December 16, 2000, after Hillary became New York's Senator-elect, the paper did another Page 1 story about an upcoming 60 Minutes episode on Rosenberg's clemency application. It included a quote from one of her new constituents, Diane O'Grady, wife of one of the dead cops: "This is a woman who has taken lives."

On December 17, 2000, the "60 Minutes" piece on Rosenberg's case and clemency request ran.

1. She was just the first lady.
She was not involved in any of the decision making activities during Bill's pretzleduncy. You cannot hold her responsible for anything he did.

Oh wait...

6. The point is, is that it was a major story while she ran for the senate in the state she
was running, and her husband issuing the pardon. It's hard to believe she wasn't aware of it as she said. I would really like to hear Sen Shumer say he never brought it up to her.

2. But, but...Bill always talked to her "first" about everything, remember? That's
how she got all those years' worth of 'experience' in the White House.

So, now... I mean, I just don't know WHAT to think!

3. The lie is, IMHO, worse than the clemency. That's not credible at all.

Pardons reemerge as issue in Clinton run

By Michael Kranish, Globe Staff | February 28, 2007

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2007/02/28/pardons_reemerge_as_issue_in_clinton_run/

WASHINGTON -- Six years ago, the launch of Hillary Clinton's career in the US Senate was marred by allegations that her brothers had received payments from people pardoned by President Bill Clinton in the waning months of his presidency.

Now, in the wake of the launch of her presidential campaign, the pardon controversy has reemerged in an obscure court case in which Senator Clinton's brother Tony is battling an order to repay more than $100,000 he received from a couple pardoned by President Clinton.

Tony Rodham, who acknowledged approaching the president about a pardon for the couple, is the second of Hillary Clinton's brothers to receive money from people who were eventually pardoned by President Clinton. Hugh Rodham received $400,000 from two people, one of whom was pardoned and one whose sentence was commuted.

But while Hillary Clinton immediately expressed chagrin over the news in 2001 that Hugh received the money -- and asked him to return it -- she said Tony was "not paid," according to a congressional report. The Clinton campaign yesterday declined to comment on the case involving Tony Rodham.

Clinton critics have been seeking to revive an array of controversies, from the Whitewater land deal to the Monica Lewinsky case. The Clinton campaign has sought to depict them as old or moot cases. But the Tony Rodham case could be different because it is in court just as Senator Clinton's campaign reaches full speed.

...........

Move along there is nothing to see here --------- Right! Wish I had the permission to lie every time I turned around!

11. But as a candidate running for the senate at the time in NY, wouldn't she have been aware
of this issue which was given media attention since the woman being commuted had been involved in an action that killed policeman?
