"West Wing" President, Martin Sheen supports Obama
Edited on Fri Apr-25-08 10:41 AM by TragedyandHope

Martin Sheen (Ramon Estevez) as President Josiah "Jed" Bartlet

"Both Obama and Clinton came to me for support," Sheen said in a BBC interview with Graham Norton.

"I haven't said this publicly before but I'm an Obama supporter," the 67-year-old said.

Sheen played idealised Democrat president Josiah Bartlet for seven seasons of hit drama The West Wing, which counted former presidents among its fans.

"Bill Clinton loved The West Wing and still calls me the president, so I have to be careful."

13. West Wing
The writers had Santos lose both California and Ohio(plus blue states Minnesota and Vermont) to
Vinck. He won his homestate of Texas and preveiled In South Carolina Missouri, and Colorado.Of course
they never had Gary Cole's character of Bob Russell launch Republican like attacks on Santos during the primarys.

The character of Vinck was a true Moderate.Pro Choice,Pro Environment and while against Gay Marrage
not totally antigay and no relgious fantatic. He agreed a lot with Bartlett on Foreign Policy.
None of this can be compared to Mccain. He Is no moderate despite what the media.

And has anyone ever noticed the writers may not have been Clinton worshipers.Tim matherson's character of John Hoynes actully has some similaries to Bill Clinton.Womanzing problems.Being called
a DLC type(during the primarys In season 6) and often coming up as being motivated as being solely for himself(and just as Clinton supports saying only Hillary could beat Mccain he says only he could beat Vinck) and staying In long after his chance to win the nomination during season 6 Is gone.
