A happy what if!
What if our strength is our willingness to debate?
I have heard Republican spin doctors pushing the thought that if Obama can't knock out Hillary, he can't win. What this means is that Republican spin doctors want us the think that debate and democracy make us weak. If this is true, then we are much the same as the Republicans are. If we need to immediately get behind a candidate or we will loose everything, then we are quite well doomed.

What if our strength is our ability to come together and unite after we have debated issues and leaders?
Then we really are the Democratic Party. Then we can use judgment and information to make decisions. It is the Republican method to unite and entirely support evil, selfish, partisan, traitors to the Constitution no matter what they do or say. Do we really think this nation will be stronger if we become clones of their party?

What if the media is wrong? What if the debate and issues make us stronger?
If this is not the case, then democracy is doomed. Seriously, if we can't disagree and still unite, then an endless stream of totalitarian and protototalitarian leaders like GWB and RR are our inevitable destiny.

What if the divisive arguments are giving press time to the Democrats?
It is a long understood principal in advertising that in the long term even negative press is better than no press. Having a contest between Hillary and Obama makes McSame seem pretty much like a marginal issue. Either Hillary or Obama can easily chew him up. The truth is that both of them care. McSame is just delusional.

What if Hillary and Obama are testing each other and how the people are reacting to methods of attack?
Right now we have Obama getting pushed hard by Hillary who has little chance of winning. Hillary is hitting hard, and looks like she is bringing up every issue doing McInsane's work for him. Don't worry the press will be doing this for McInsane later. Don't buy the nonsense that the press is doing McInsane's bidding, He just works for the same people the press works for.

What if trying the high road and the low road are both valid methods?
We keep seeing spin doctors that say all sorts of things. Often they become believed. Carter has never for a moment been able to draw a deep breath without being spun by people owned by people owned by people who own the energy companies. Yet anyone who looks can see that this man is quality. Don't buy the spin folks, it makes you look stupid.

Hillary is testing the low road, perhaps the center road as well. Of course she is hitting hard and playing fast and loose, it has worked for Shrub, Bush, Raygun and even Nixon. Clinton has seen the low road work. I prefer the high road that Carter took, but sadly we are facing criminals. Enemies of the state that masquerade as patriots. Maybe we need both schools in our camp.

What if we enjoy the fight? What if open debate makes us stronger?
Then we are fit to defend this county. Then we are fit in a way that no Republican is fit.

1. Shaddap.
;-) Just kiddin'. Interesting post. One thing's for sure, both candidates are getting lots of free press and getting lots of people to register to vote who otherwise might not have.
