"Fourth quarter, team Obama up by 37... 45 seconds remaining in the game...
...if they don't stop team Hillary from making this field goal they're DOOMED!!!!"

Or, for those who prefer alternate sports metaphors for the idiocy being spread all over this forum endlessly:

Basketball:
"Fourth quarter, team Obama up by 25... 45 seconds remaining in the game... if they don't stop team Hillary from hitting this free throw they're DOOMED!!!!"

Hockey:
"Third Period, team Obama up by 10... 45 seconds remaining in the game... if they don't stop team Hillary from putting the puck in the net here they're DOOMED!!!!"

Baseball:
"Top of the ninth, 2 out, bases empty, team Obama up by 17... if they don't strike out this team Hillary slugger right now they're DOOMED!!!"

Feel free to employ any of these the next time you see an "If Obama doesn't do 'X' he's DOOMED!!!" bit of silliness posted. Also, anyone who wants to add to the list start tossing them out, have some fun with it.

I just saw the "It's over for Obama if he wins NC by less than 2%" thread and couldn't bring myself to post in another one of them. Yes, it's definitely over for Obama if he only wins a state Hillary needs to win BY THIRTY POINTS by 2%! It's so obvious!

I can't grapple with that level of absurdity, I just can't. Not until I take a little rest among the sane.

4. It's been ridiculous for two months already.
It's unbearable. Watching the junior senator from NY keep this up is like watching old people die.

That's what desperation will do to people.

3. And the losing team's strategy? Break the kneecaps of the opposing quarterback
After all, if they can't go to the super bowl, then they'll make sure the other team can't win it, either.

5. The math truly is inescapable. I think some people are coming to terms with that, and some people
are fighting the contradiction of supporting a candidate who cannot win.
I say, keep supporting Hillary if you want, she represents what she represents, it would be great if every state and territory has a chance to vote in this historic primary.
I'm glad I don't have to struggle with that contradiction right now.

6. 18th hole
Obama up 20. Hillary beating him about the head with her 5 iron as he attempts to sink final putt.

Try this-

Baseball: Post game wrap up. Team Obama won 10-3. "What's this, team Hillary is pulling the tarps of the field and is insisting that we keep playing!"

She will not quit until the SuperD's pull the plug. I can't fathom the logic either.

11. I love those posts!
"SHE'S GONNA CRUSH HIM IN CAROLINA!!!!!11"

I've always been fascinated by people with a tenuous grip on reality. I hope there are no brain aneurysms when reality finally intrudes. But I am looking forward to some posts along the lines of "I'm taking my ball and going home because the party turned its back on the GODDESS OF PEEEEEEECE!!!!! WAAAAAAAA!!!!eleventy!"

12. Yeah, but once she makes that last shot, the ref may call the game for her!
You know, because she's showing she's a better player than him now. Or something.

16. Football history: Touchdowns used to be 1 pt., FG's were 2 pts.
Back 100 years ago ... Remind you of the Clinton campaign? "If this were like the GOP system, Hillary would be in the lead!"

17. It's the final game in the pennant race and Hillary is losing badly.
She tries to convince us to go back and count the pre-season games too, because she was playing very well during those games.

19. Finally - someone has figured out what's happening! Like many
females ( including myself) Hillary only watches the last few minutes of tight games in which the last team to score wins. ("C'mon in here, Honey , you've got to see this!") Clearly, she assumes that ALL sports events are decided that way and believes the same applies in politics!
