The comment that the candidates should enter a room and "only he should come out" was a fuck up, plain and simple. No sentient being believes that he was actually advocating for physical harm to befall Senator Clinton, but he makes his living with words and, in this instance, he screwed the pooch. He has apologized, let's move on. But what I find particularly telling is the reaction of those who choose to defend Keith's remark. If memory serves, these are some of the same people who suffered a fecal hemorrhage when Bill O'Asshole made his dickhead comment about Michelle Obama and "lynching". I don't believe that anyone actually believed that O'Asshole was actually calling for Mrs. Obama to be hanged, but it was still a jackass thing to say. He pissed me off, and now, so has KO. I still love Keith and despise O'Asshole, but if you condone one comment and attempt to laugh off the other, you lack credibility in the all-important "outrage of the day" sweepstakes.

And Keith's is long past. I know many an early state voter who thinks it is over, but here it is just starting, and the Party is gaining greatly by the high level of interest. Sorry if it bothers people in NY or CA, but this is an important time for other states. The way to a General Election victory. I wildly disagree that it should be over. It will end the way you wish, but only after everybody skates, or enought to finish off the groundwork for Nov. Elections are good. In my State, the Democratic margin is growing, even in our reddest areas. We like that. Obama's ads that are running are the best thing I have seen from or about his campaign, they emphasize voter registration, and I like them very much.

I'm a Democrat, my candidates are long gone. Both of these are compromises, both have votes and actions that I am very much against. Those that have high passions about one or against one are delusional in my book. They both voted for the Patriot Act. He voted for the Energy Bill. She voted for cluster bombs. They both funded like a smorgasbord of cash. Both campaigns have played vicious and divisive Rovian tactics. Both of them. Obama's targeted my family, so I take it more personally, but they have both been embarassments to me as a Democrat. Most of us look at the policy and the votes, not the look in a pundit's eye to make up our minds. Many decide in the booth, for those who have such things.
