It thrills me to realize that Barack H. Obama will be the next President

of the United States. This has been a long haul for all of us, I remember having dreams of Joe Biden in the WH, but that was not to be. I will be happy when the silly season is over and we move onto Denver where it will be finalized.

I look forward to intelligent and honest State of the Union addresses, Press Conferences that actually say something, a look once in a while at the girls as they are growing up, Michelle being the gracious and beautiful hostess to those visitors to our House.

I look forward to the business of this nation being actually conducted and conversations and discussions with foreign leaders who will, once again, admire us for a well-run government and care of its citizens.

I look forward to some healing of the divide between AAs and white people. The existing racism needs to be put down like a sick old dog. It no longer should be a part of who we are as a people. We're one nation, no matter what color, religion or economic background we come from. It is time for us to grow up, act like adults and start looking out for each other as brothers and sisters are wont to do. Have a good weekend.
