Shame on the Media, Shame on Hillary Supporters, and Shame on Hillary Clinton |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-26-08 01:27 AM by hnmnf
After watching Bill Moyers' interview, I finally saw a side of Reverand Wright that I have never seen before. I'm about 300 pages into Dreams of My Father, and I finally saw in this interview the man that Obama described in the book. He seems to be a caring man, but a misunderstood and misrepresented man. I finally saw the entire context of his "controversial" statements, and I must say, though provocative, I dont have an issue anymore with "God Damn America," or "CHickens comin home to roost," Or even his "Rich, White, People," sermon. In complete context, they make sense, and they ring true. And yet what does the media do? What does Sean Hannity do? What do the supporters of CLinton do? They take this entire 60 minute interview and cut it down to 1 minute. They play that minute, failing to show all the good work the church has done from this interview in their attempt to slander the man, and by association slander Senator Obama. So Shame on the corporate media, shame on the HRC supporters who in their Obama blood thirsty rage, do not care if a good man is torn to pieces, and shame on Hillary Clinton for bringing up this issue when she doesnt know what the hell she is talking about.
Rant over.

1. you mean it was cut down to a misleading sound bite... |
|
...in the same way that Hillary's comment about obliterating Iran was cut down to a misleading sound bite?
Pot, meet kettle.

His rant about Hillary Clinton never knowing challenge bothered me, but, for me, the Reverend issue is immaterial.

13. Maher is sometimes funny, sometimes stupid, always a comedian. |
|
Take his comment for what it's worth, but by aping it it doesn't say much for your own critical thinking skills. Your posts here and elsewhere on this topic are simplistic to the point of being embarrassing.

11. Hillary knows exactly what she is 'talking about' |
|
and yes, shame on her. She knows what she is doing here with the Wright issue, just like she knew what she was doing with the 'bitter' issue and the Ayers issue and the Farrakhan issue...
She knows.
Shame on her.

14. The saddest thing about all of this, is that the Clintons knew damn well who Rev Wright was. |
|
Does anybody really believe that Bill Clinton would have added a "radical, black seperatist, america-hatin' preacher" to his public repentance from the Monica fiasco team?
When he was in worst hot water of his own political life?
And now that it's known he was a friend of LBJ as well - hardly a man to associate with "radicals" of any sort.
God damn the Clintons for allowing this slander to go forward.
