Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama shows he's in good shape as he plays in a 3-on-3 pick-up basketball game at Maple Crest Middle School in Kokomo following a speech earlier in the evening in Kokomo on Friday April 25, 2008. Obama, whose team won 13-5, chose to wear full-legged sweat pants rather than shorts like his younger counterparts. . (Charlie Nye / The Star)

I was hoping that that USMC shirt was a gift from a veteran!

on edit: as I'd suspected, Obama chose log sweat pants; I don't think presidential candidates are allowed to have legs.

It's Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever, the WNBA team in Indy. The other "woman" is also a player from the Indy Fever, Alison Bales. She's the one that's taller than Obama.

13. This is terrible!
Long sweat pants instead of shorts! He must be hiding something -- bird like legs or varicose veins!! How can the Democrats field a candidate who has serious health problems with varicose veins?!? When candidates go to this length to disguise their health, you have to wonder what other lies they are trying to push!!!

If ABC would like me to moderate the next debate for them, they can send me a private message to inquire as to my fee.

Indiana is a basketball state. They appreciate it at the bone-marrow level.

Which is indication of a healthy mind, IMO.

But my vote goes to tiny Rossville, a place of basketball legend in the Hoosier State.

38. Just a little "Hoosier" insight
Marion, IN, where this is played is a town that is dying. They were very hard by factory closings and is a big-time union town. Marion also is probably the biggest basketball town I have EVER been in. In Marion, the entire town follows the high school basketball team. Ever see the movie "Hoosiers"? This town is like that, except that, marion has the winning-est team in Indiana history, as much as that pains me to say, because they were our rivals back in the day. ;)

This is one of the towns that the young flock out of, it has a really whacked ratio of elderly to youth. Very high population of nursing home aged elderly. And my guess, a lot of the "bitterness" stemming from NAFTA. NAFTA killed this town.

This is another reason that I could SWEAR Obama has someone on his staff who grew up in Indiana.

The game wasn't played in Marion, two of the guys that played were from Marion High School. The game was played in Kokomo, which is nearby and also a basketball giant in Indiana, particularly in womens basketball.
