Take the high road.
That would be my advice to Barack Obama. Let them keep yelling about debates. Let them keep talking about the preacherman and other personal attacks. And everytime they do, put out a new ad denouncing them for their negative attacks. Stay above the fray. Stay positive. But let the people know that the two people you are running against have been a part of the Washington establishment for at least the last 16 years and, in that time, we have seen more problems than solutions.

Talk about jobs. Talk about healthcare. Talk about the price of gas and heating bills. Talk about a windfall profits tax on the Big Oil companies. Talk about the division of the political classes in Washington. It's difficult to teach old dogs new tricks. If we want to change Washington, we cannot expect that change by putting in office more of the same. It's time to put the special interests on notice. Their negative role in creating legislation is about to end. The people will decide who they want to lead this nation.

1. I sort of agree, but by taking the high road he allows both Clinton & the MSM...
.......to paint him as some sort of "elite liberal", evoking the old Republican smears used successfully against other Democrats in the past.

If he would show some fire he might lessen that smear as an effective tactic against him.

3. I think he tried that.
And it didn't work. He needs to get back to his message. He is a uniter. Let the others go negative. That is what they have been doing for decades. The people are ready for something different.

2. That SHOULD be Obama's path....and those closest to him....
The rest of us can fight the ground battles IF necessary. But it looks like the supers will be closing those doors over the next two weeks.

McCain....we already have a ton of research on you and you ain't gonna like it.

4. That's what he is doing. He can not alienate the Hillary voters at this point..

That is the bad part for Obama. He can not hit Hillary hard for fear of losing her voters this Nov.. Oh well, it is all but wrapped up for Obama. He is just riding it out..
