Radio host on RNC protesters: 'Mow 'em down, baby!' (DU mentioned at KTLK)
Edited on Sat Apr-26-08 01:19 PM by jhuth
St.Paul will be hosting the RNC convension this fall. It seems that violence against those of us who disagree with the right wing's ideology are going to be targeted with violence.

"The Twin Cities' newest conservative talk show host has an idea for managing the thousands of protesters coming to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in September: machine guns.

"Chris Baker, formerly a talk radio host in Houston, took over the morning spot on KTLK in early March. On Friday, he took issue with the debate among Minneapolis law enforcement personnel as to whether police should limit the use of Tasers and pepper spray on protesters in Minneapolis (link to audio file). Baker's suggestion is violent suppression of what he calls "stinky protesters" that are part of "an industry funded by billionaires and communist organizations (and) they are well-coordinated and incredibly dangerous."

Baker continued: "So we've been talking about police protection during the upcoming convention when all those stinky protesters are coming. There seems to be a big debate over whether or not police officers will be able to wear helmets, carry shields, use pepper spray and Tasers on this crowd. You know, I'll tell you what works on a crowd like this -- a machine gun, that always works very well."

Baker's co-host, "Jordan," agreed: "Mow 'em down, baby!" he added.

"You must have order, you cannot have a civilized society without order and if that means cracking a few skulls, so be it," said Baker. "A good ole boy network is what you need and hand out some ax handles."

Also on KTLK in Minneapolis, right wing nutcase Jason Lewis made the following comments on his radio show.

"Caller: Back to this Bremer. To put a little fight back into the Republicans, what you need to do is get Karl Bremer's address, phone number, and his other members of this little Democrat underground that protests, and let's get a little protest going on his front doorstep so he can get a little taste of his own medicine. Hold his feet to the fire. Make him responsible for some of the actions he does...

Jason Lewis: I don't lead a jihad against individuals unless they happen to be in the public arena. Of course, you could make the argument this guy's now in the public arena. But if citizens are truly fed up with a small minority of socialist kooks in Stillwater, led by this Karl Bremer character who's got a bizarre obsession with Michele Bachmann, I can't be held accountable for what citizens might come up with. If you want to let this guy know you think he's a bum, that's up to you. I'm just saying that people ought to know his name, because he's the guy, the ringleader, in Veterans for Peace and all this, that literally are censoring veterans.

Caller: Right, right. Well, or maybe a website. If they have a website, they could crash the website. You know, if you don't want any legal repercussions for what might happen. Because he would probably get some kook fringe lawyer to come back and sue you or K-Talk. I can understand that, not wanting to have any legal repercussion or responsibility...

Lewis: Yeah, right. Well, the problem with these protesters--the problem they've got is, they entered the public arena. They are out there. What is it, democrat underground dot org or something? Democratic underground dot com. They are out there in the ether. Karl Bremer has been out there putting his name in the papers in his letters to the editor bashing Michele Bachmann. So he is now a public person, and hence he's going to take the slings and arrows just like he hands them out. Long overdue, to be sure."

I repeat, right wing nutjob Jason Lewis told Minneapolis listeners "I don't lead a jihad against individuals unless they happen to be in the public arena."

He advocates jihad. He is a terrorist. What do you think about that, fellow DU-ers. Do you feel safe? He also mentions DU.

Will you be safe visiting Minneapolis or St. Paul during the RNC convention?

KTLK Minneapolis is the right wing nutjob radio station that employs both these douchebags. Perhaps some letter writing would be appropriate?

Or perhaps file an FCC complaint.

When those who stand on a platform of anti-terrorism become terrorists themselves, they become dangerously detached from reality. Will someone be killed during the convention because they are Liberal?

We will find out, won't we.

Baker worked in Omaha for a while. He started off good, quite funny really, and then he turned into the most arrogant person in the history of Omaha radio. He eventually got fired for pissing off an advertiser.

Just ignore him, and he'll take himself out in no time. His ego will get the best of him.

6. KTLK is the black hole of Twin Cities talk radio
Their ratings are terrible. WCCO and KSTP pound the crap out of them. Their AM sister sports station, KFAN, obliterates them. Hell, the little 1000 watt suburban progressive talker (KTNF) has gotten close to the ratings of this 98,000 watt station. KTLK has the lowest ratings overall of any full-power TC FM station.

And considering how often KTLK changes up their lineup (i.e. firing market legend John Hines), I doubt this guy will be around all that long.

7. Should say a lot about Baker's talent then
Goes from a top 10 market like Houston to a small nothing of a station in Minnesota. Just give him some time. His own arrogance will destroy him in no time.

2. Can't even seem to get the talking points right
'al-quieda' and 'islamo-fascist' replaced 'communist' years ago.

5. I think he's stuck on the "International ANSER" folks...
...that haunt such protests...

He's still a violence advocating nutjob. Guess he's trying to steal Rushie's thunder or something.

3. Are they expecting a lot of protesters st the RNC convention?
Or are they just trying to pretend they are relevant enough for people to notice them this year. }(

on DU. If I had a nickel for every time I heard some right winger's threat against protesters, I'd have about $5.00, heh, heh. But these fools are cowards, all talk no action. Giving their words credence gives them way more credit than they deserve.
