Poll question: Which spiritual leader deserves the greater scrutiny for influence on US policy
Edited on Sat Apr-26-08 02:44 PM by blm
Pastor Wright

Douglas Coe

Rev Hagee

These are spiritual leaders connected to the candidates. So....whose influence should be of greatest concern to any Democratic citizen of this country?

1. Coe and Hagee are equally vile
But Coe has definitely HAD more influence on US policy so far. Grandpa McLoon adopting the Hagee brand of UltraZionism would be truly frightening, however :scared:

8. IMO, the Hagee types are USED by those who target them for manipulation - like Rove.
I really don't think they're SMART enough to be anything MORE than manipulated by the fascists who need their followers.

3. Wright is not with the Church of God.
I believe you are thinking of the United Church of Christ, which is about as far from the Church of God as one can get.

9. Obama is the only candidate with a Spiritual Adviser, Wright
Neither Clinton not McCain have spiritual advisers.

Your poll is framed on a false premise. what a surprise!

11. Hillary met once a week with Coe and Fellowship as long as she's been in DC.
Pretend all you want - Coe has influenced Clinton and she CHOSE to be part of the Fellowship so much so that they let her in to groups that had been reserved for men only.

Yep - nothing to see there.

And ... when did YOU see Pastor Wright INFLUENCE US POLICY? Please share the details.

12. he's in a category all his own...these listed are more personal relationships w/candidates.
But, I'm with you on his influence - he's been a key partner to the Bushes for five decades.

14. Hagee's a nutjob and a bigot. But we already know that
it's the insidious and secretive ones that have the potential to do the most harm, I think.

17. Don't kid yourself - Bush and Cheney work with Coe, too. The fascist agenda has been together
on their plans for many decades. Hillary joining up with Coe in the early 90s is an intentional move to stay aligned with the powerful elite.
