Why doesn't 'The Media' ask HRC this? |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-26-08 04:19 PM by blueinindiana
All I ever hear out of the HRC camp is that Obama is unelectable cause he cannot seal the deal and cannot secure the nomination and the 'Media' agrees with her yet she has not secured the nomination either nor has she even got the popular vote. Why doesn't the 'Media' ask her why Republicans are actively trying to help her secure the Democratic nomination, because they know she will stir up the republican base and almost assure another Republican president?
HRC is UNELECTABLE to Democrats and Republicans!
The Corporate media wants to install another Republican in the White House pure and simple!
IF HRC was a true Democrat she would have stepped down long ago instead she wants to destroy the party and our chances in the general election just cause she can. This type of behavio is so selfish and self serving. She came in expecting to have the nomination handed to her on a silver platter but it wasn't and now she vows if she can't have it no one will!
I used to have respect for Bill Clinton and some for her but they have used up all the respect i have ever had for them during this despicable campaign that looks more like a Rovian playbook than Democratic one.
I have some family members who are Republican and they told me they could vote for Obama but NEVER Clinton. I know of others who have expressed the same sentiment.
Its time for HRC to go but sadly she won't until she secures the election for McCain!

1. I've been wondering that too. The Hillary supporters will not answer my oft asked question.. |
|
...about why the right wing is helping Hillary to secure the nomination.

2. It may be because they're ready to act maturely. HRC is offering |
|
solutions to people's needs and they can respect that. People's wants are infinite - so appealing to hope will inevitably lead to disappointment.
She's competent, strong, prepared to take office. What's not to admire in a presidential candidate? Ideological purity? Leave that to losers. Politics is the art of the possible.

5. Rule #1: Know that enemy. |

I'm sure that your explanation seems logical to you (or that was very clever sarcasm and I missed it), but we are talking about Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Rupert Murdoch, Richard Mellon Scaife, etc.....
You can't honestly believe these ideologues really want to run a clean and respectful campaign against someone they believe will be the strongest candidate on the Democratic ticket?
That's just....frighteningly naive.

3. Corporate media, that's why. |
|
Sorry not a HRC supporter. But here's what I believe. The corporate media owns the networks and corporations buy the commercial time. They want their lobbyists fat and happy in D.C. HRC is part of that circle of friends. Pundits and reporters get their paychecks from the corporations that advertise. Corporate lobbyists are scared of Obama.

I mean why would she run a campaign in such a way that if she does end up winning the nomination half of the dems will either vote for McCain or stay home?? That is a no win for her.
Also, the rePubes and indies are watching her BS too. She is not going to sway any of them. In fact they will come out against her more then before this campaign ever begun. That is why the rePubes want her to win. And all along Hillary is thinking: "Fox news likes me, they really really like me".. Ugh, she is pathetic..

8. If HRC is in no-win situation |
|
why does she stay in?
I think the angle here is that it's in both hers and the RW's interest that she stay in, hoping one of them wins, but the winner could double-cross the other.

11. double-cross the other |

I don't doubt that.
Fox News solidified their existence in the 90s by crucifying both Bill and Hillary. They'd love to go after them again. Fox, Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity and the like are salivating at another chance to go after them. A Hillary win will guarantee their ratings and the advertising dollars that follow.
Bush's* incompetence has force the right-wing pundits clear out of relevancy (his one good deed for America). They will all make a ton of money by having the Clintons back in the WH.
It won't be as much fun, or a financial boondoggle for them if Obama wins.

6. If she's so wonderful, why hasn't she sealed the deal? |
|
She should have sealed it back in February if the voters really wanted her. Why didn't her overwhelming 20 pt. victory happen in Pennsylvania? That was the original prediction. How did she allow Obama to cut her lead in a home state in half?

....which will start approximately November 30, 2008.

9. Why can't she "seal the deal" |
|
Seems like Obama is a heckuva lot closer to sealing it than she is.

Everyone is assuming McBush in 2008 with a return of Hillary in 2012 but I see a more likely prospect of Obama in 2012 not Hillary. What is more important is getting dem senators and dem congressman in numbers that will tie the hands of McBush.
