Why are you Hillary supporters behaving as if Obama is the enemy? You're aiming at the wrong guy.. |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-27-08 01:50 AM by HawkeyeX
It should be McCain, but then again, you've been wearing those rose-colored glasses for too long, you can't figure out who is who. That's why Hillary is so confused that she thinks she's the leading candidate.

Hillary had a whole boatload of goons just chomping at the bit to get their Ambassadorships and Government Contracts. That's why they are fighting like Repukes. They thought they had the Reins of Power in the bag. Now they realize that they are about to be totally shut out. This is why they have desperately turned back to trying to bully Hillary onto the ticket as VP. They hope to still have a piece of the action.
They are sadly mistaken. Time to clean House...

ever think that might be something that attracts people to her? There is no visible fight left in Obama, if there ever was any.

22. It's not Obama at all. My only quarrel with him is his lack of |
|
maturity and experience.
It is the condescending assholes who support him that I will vote against in November.

24. Lack of maturity? Oh pullleeeeeaaaazzzzzeeee |
|
He has shown restraint by not trashing Hillary, although he has had many opportunities to do so (such as her getting caught red handed in a bald faced lie about Tuzla for one). That is a mark of maturity.
Hillary on the other hand....has not shown a lot of restraint in throwing mud or even refraining from Repuke campaign tactics

Really. It's so hard to imagine how someone could look at your comments and not find them offensive and condescending. What a great strategy for Obamababy.

Initially, I thought this thread was ironic, or snarky, or some kind of comedy riff. But they actually do think that they are incapable of error, that Obama never does anything wrong, and that we are the handmaids of the Great Beast.
I can understand being confident in one's choices of heroes, but many of the local Obama supporters have taken the lack of perspective to the extreme.

13. In all fairness, I don't think that's what the poster said... |
|
however, even if you put that aside, when are the overly zealous supporters on both sides going to realize that McCain is the appropriate target for our COLLECTIVE outrage? I am sure there are people (again on both sides) who will disagree, the ones who hold on to hurt feelings or over-inflated self importance who will never vote for Obama/Clinton (depending on their current choice), but every day we feed the outrage machine against fellow democrats! And honestly, half of the disgust I feel for Senator Clinton has NOTHING to do with her, but rather with the behavior of some of her supporters on this board (again, I know it is BOTH sides). If you are intellectually honest and really think about it, Obama (or Clinton) isn't the only issue anymore, it's the constant back and forth, nastiness and a fairly high amount of bullshit from a select few blowhards on BOTH sides....
*before anyone decides to search my name and see if I've posted anything nasty or snarky or an ad hominem attack on Senator Clinton, I freely admit it. I realize it, I own it, and I will try to stop doing it...

DU is continually flooded with "Clinton is the enemy" posts - obviously. Object to that, and dozens of people set about to prove that she IS the enemy. No one claims otherwise, or denies that they are seeing Clinton as the enemy - they trumpet it, write it in caps, repeat it, brag about it.
Where is this "Obama is the enemy" campaign that you find so bothersome?

|
it's the schtick. It's funny, most of the really nasty stuff about obama comes from new posters, while much of the really nasty stuff about Hillary comes from high count people (oh, and for the record, i joined this board in february of 01, from my memory, there are four current member with a lower member number than i it doesn't mean anything except make mr laugh when i am called a troll) There is valid criticism and invalid criticism in both sides. Take this here thread. Calling Hillary's people 'goons' is not 'hating' but calling obama's people 'obamababies' is. Go figure.

There are a few of us who are not in love with either candidate. It is an odd position, one that I have never been in in 40 years myself, and it gives one a different perspective.
I was a very strong critic of Clinton, one of the strongest back 6 months and a year ago, by the way.
I don't have any Clinton supporters treating me as the enemy here, or pressuring me or calling me names. I tell them right in their forum that I am not a supporter of their candidate, and I am still treated with respect and courtesy. But I do have an increasing number of Obama supporters who see me as the enemy, and the animosity and hostility is by far the worst I have ever seen in the party, including the contentious '68 campaign season.

9 of 10 threads started are Clinton bashing posts. As I see it, Obama supporters like nothing better to bash Bill and Hillary Clinton, Carville, even Wesley Clark; the DU is like mini Obama headquarters; just like MSNBC. Yeah, go start another Clinton post, hasn't been one in last 10 seconds.
