1. In case you weren't aware of it, Obama is treading a narrow path |
|
He's constantly in danger of being seen as "too black". Sorry, I don't see why this is particularly a big deal. Furthermore, it's an understatement to say that he doesn't need much help with the black vote. His purportedly snubbing the black media doesn't hurt him and it surely doesn't indicate a lack of concern for issues important to the AA community.

Hey, it isn't my call. It is the Black Media who seems to think they are being snubbed. I could care less which media Obama hides from but they seem to care a great deal.

4. The Black Media is upset because Obama won't talk Rezko? |
|
I thought they were upset because he wouldn't talk to them at all.

5. He did earlier, but then they decided they had more questions. |
|
He did give them lots of time again, and now they are okay.
My point is that every segment thinks they don't get enough attention.

I know Obama used to regularly call in to local black talk radio here in Chicago. I don't listen all the time so I don't know if he still does. (He is our senator).

7. He is running as the American candidate |
|
As a previous poster mentioned, Obama is walking a tightrope, trying to avoid being negatively pigeonholed and pulled in all directions as a fringe candidate.
Instead, he focuses his message on issues that impact everyone across the board such as jobs, the economy, Iraq, health care, education and clean energy. Obama aims to make positive changes in all of these areas, which will in turn have positive effects for everyone in all the groups that complain about not having their specific issues addressed.
On top of that, I firmly believe that given Obama's history of community work, he does care about the specific issues facing smaller groups and will work towards positive improvements, once he gets into to office. For now though, he is maintaining the same consistent, broad, universal message that he has been running on since the campaign began last year.
